Do you use a fanny pack?

This is the one I'm stalking on ebags right now! Next payday it's mine!:cool1: http://www.ebags.com/kipling/presto_deluxe_waistpack/product_detail/index.cfm?modelID=97457

I just bought this one a few days ago and its interesting. It doesn't bulge out like a traditional fanny pack. It lays flat against your body and can be worn under a winter coat as well. I LOVE it. I do find it tricky putting items back in the main compartment but you just have to open it wider when doing so. Highly recommended.

I've been thinking of getting a kids fannypack for 6 yr old grandson- so he can carry his own autograph book and pen, and perhaps a few Disney dollars so he feels important:love:
Anyone had any experience with how kids handle them? Do they hate them or love them? Do you buy a child's one or will adult size work?
Thanks~

I don't really care what people think of fanny packs. In 2007, when we went, I wore one the WHOLE trip. I thank god I did!!! My only wish is that it fit the camera! As for a backpack, we'd probably take one next time only because we'd have an infant with us.

Yes I wear one-- I have a Eddie Baurer one that is leather-- I have used it every trip and although I would never wear one at home-- I would never go to WDW without it! I also am a Mets full season ticket holder & I wear it to games, too-- So in WDW & at Mets games, i am stylin' w/ my FP!

:thumbsup2 Fanny Pack wearer here.

It helps me to stay organized & I don't have to worry about leaving my purse behind...Can't use the slings...they kill my neck/shoulder!
It is only large enough for keys, camera, cards & money.
Slide it around to the back when posing for pictures...
I use it only when traveling...
hey....I'm on vacation...the main goal is to have fun!

Yes, I use a fanny pack for money, lipstick and park tickets. The rest of everything is put into a backpack that I carry. I like having my money and park tickets close to me. It is easier to get fast passes that way. Otherwise, I'd have to dig through everything in the bag.
I heard a line once on the Dis boards that is worth repeating........Disney World is the only socially acceptable place to wear a fanny pack. LOL

No, but thank you. I don't want anything that looks like it could be sold in a camping store. I want a purse - purse. Something that can go from the parks to dinner at night. And that's why I'v been searching for so many years.

This is what I use as both a weekend running around bag and a Disney bag. Ironically I originally bought it for a Disney trip and decided against it, in favor of the Kipling hipster. Massive mistake. It's nylon so it cleans easily. Plus it can hold a poncho and a bottle of water in addition to the rest of the park essentials.

We usually carry a backpack and our lime green DIS fannypack. We have brought our resort mugs w/ us to the aprks and when not in use we put the mugs handle throught the strap of the backpacks and fannypacks, it works great for us. In Disney fannypacks and socks w/ sandals just seem to be the "normal thing":lmao:

I usually do, but the last 2 trips I toted a very light backpack and even though it was lite, it was still bothersome. This trip I will use my fanny pack. It is a WDW fanny pack, and it has room for my camera, cigarettes, money, and chapstick, and travel wipes. ALL I NEED! :thumbsup2

I also wear it with my CROCS!:lmao: Im not at WDW to make a fashion statement, and I want to be comfy and hands free while Im in the parks!:cloud9:

I say go for it! I do however hate those big ol rolling backpacks that i see folks toting around...they are in the way and just TOO BIG!:scared1:

Fanny pack girl here. I don't want to be lugging anything around on my back and I don't care if others don't like my fanny pack. It works for me!

Have you tried looking at the Healthy Back Bags from Ameribags or any of the mini messengers from Coach?

Great bags all of them and some of them go from work to play to evening quite well.

I definitely wear a fanny pack.....but ONLY at WDW! For some reason, I wouldn't dream of wearing it any other time, but can't live without it at the parks.

The first time I wore it, my whole family mocked me and said it looked like I had a Coleman cooler strapped to my belly! But guess who wanted some of my water in the first ten minutes standing in line, later needed a band aid, and even later wanted an aspirin. Yep, that same family that mocked me. Sure I shared with them, but not without a bit of mocking of my own!

Wow! The Coach bag is exactly what I am looking for.Now to justify the cost or a trip to NYC (which will cost more in the end LOL) to find something similar...

Thank you!

I got a coach hampton patchwork swing purse in black for about $140 at a coach outlet in Florida before X-mas. The original tag said something like $440. It's perfect for just about anywhere. I have a smaller little coach swing bag in brown that cost me $40 at the same sale.

I'm told the Coach outlets have been running some tremendous sales recently, so look there before going into the mall.

Fanny Pack wearer here too. I love mine, it is small and like other said, I keep the park tickets in there, some small amounts of cash, personal supplies (you girls know what I mean), chap stick, cell phone, etc. Hubby usually carries the backpack that has the camera (yes, it's too big for a fanny pack, but I love it), and other misc stuff. but usually ends up with sweatshirts and zip locks.

I'm such a dork, my fanny pack has 2 flexible cup holders on it. I've tried everything but a fanny pack works best, I just turn it around and wear at the front.

My kids have finally gotten big enough that this year, they are going to carry thier own so that maybe I can "downsize" or at the very least, lighten the load!

Yes I wear a fanny and not ashamed of it. My arms and shoulders hurt if i carry around a bag all day. I was so glad when my son was finally old enough to wear one so he could keep up with his own stuff (autograph book and pen). I did not buy him a child size one because they are not big enough. I just bought him an adult one with a mesh drink carrier on the side and tied a knot in the belt to make it fit his small waist. Worked out great.:worship:
