Do you unpack during vacation?

I unpack also everyone has their own space. But I must say I have this thing about the drawers. I must use a Lysol Wipe and wipe them down first.

Great tip! I always unpack, and hang clothes....get as much stuff out of teh way as possible!. I will use the wipes next time.

patricenpete, you make me laugh! you are really worrying about so many details, I guess half the fun of a trip is in the planning, I tend to do that also! I think this trip I'll do the ziploc thing, w/ the etxra large bags, as we'll be moving 3 times in 2 weeks, I hate to pack and unpack, I usually give evryone their suitcase section anyway, then just wash it, and toss it back in!(or leave it in a basket till we wear it, like home...)

We used to luve out of suitcase too, but now with three children it gets to be a bit much so we start unpacking first thing now. I will be doing the ziploc packing also so it makes it much easier for the older kids to get their own stuff without me having to hear "Mom, wheres my clothes?". I also will take an afternnon to do laundry. Me and the youngest (will be turning 5 while we are there) will do it while dh and the older two swim. The youngest hates water so he won't mind hanging out with me near the laundry.

I always unpack...it makes me feel like it's not just an overnight trip !
Plus, then I have empty suitcases, and one is designated for the dirty laundry.

Every trip I have ever taken I have lived out of my suitcase until my last trip to Disney. I put everything in drawers and brought a fold up hamper for my dirty clothes. It was the best thing I have ever done. My room felt cleaner and I was happier.

I have to unpack as soon as we get there.I may do the ziplock bag for the baby and DD. DH can never find his stuff even though I map out the drawers for him.

We have always unpacked first,even before kids. It was DH that would want to do this so when he came back from the park that night he wouldn't have to do it later. I just did it so I would have something to do while he was unpacking and now I am the one that has to unpack before we leave the room. Always wishing that we would never have to pack up and leave.
