Do you tip for grocery delivery?

Just placed my order...first time we've ever had groceries delivered (we arrive on Sunday). Just wondering if the delivery fee is in leiu of a tip, or if we should tip on top of that (assuming on-time and accurate delivery.....)?

HI We tipped when you rec'd our order because the gentleman put it into the fridge for us while we stood there!!!
He was early, we phoned tho let them know we were in our room and they asked if we wanted our delivery right then!
It was very good service.-we went through garden grocer

We added the tip to our total at checkout (through Garden Grocer). Since it is a service, a tip is really the right thing to do

We give a tip. We have had no problem with Garden Grocer. The one time we arrived our food was put away for us when we arrived. I called down to the bell hop to find out who delivered the food to our room and then asked if they could come back to the room and then gave them them the tip.

We always us www.gardengrocer.com
They offer the best service in my opinion. We have never had a problem with them. You can order online, and then select where you will be staying to have them delivered. If you use them, make sure to make a posting of your experience.

Yes. Usually, delivery personnel (of this type) rely greatly on tips.

what if you are not in your room when the arrive - either you haven't checked in yet or your out at the parks?

If you are not in your room at the time of delivery, bell services can store it for you. We always plan to be in the room at the time of the delivery. We usually ask for the grovery delivery to be at 4:00pm or after as we can pretty much be sure we will have our room by then. We go to a park, then go back to the room for food delivery. While we wait for the delivery everyone showers and get's ready to go out for the night.

They store it by your luggage....they also have an area for your cold items.

I just had groceries delivered to my home and we gave the man $8.00.
