Do you think we will be able to use our DVC points at Shanghai Disney?

I will be in China in July to visit my daughter in Beijing. I would love to visit Shanghai Disney while I am there. I have some points that I would love to ear mark for a stay at one of the hotels for a night or two. With the grand-opening in June, I wonder if we would be able to use our points there?

I don't know if they will, but the resort is co-owner with chinese companies, so I wouldn't expect a good deal, like for other destinations outside DVC. You could rent your points and book cash.

It would be under the Disney Collection. Do you have eligible points (purchased direct or resale before 3/2011)?

I do not have resale points I bought my direct from Disney. I used some 2 years ago to stay at Hong Kong Disneyland. It was nice, we stayed 2 nights and you got 3 day tickets included with the reservation. We would only stay 2 nights in Shanghai if we go.

I wouldn't worry about this- Shanghai itself is much cleaner than Beijing due to heavy taxes on automobiles- I actually found Shanghai to be a beautiful city. Also I believe that the park is actually outside of Shanghai proper.
