Do you think WDW would change Speedway?

Or alter it because of the new movie, "CARS?" It seems like this movie is going to be or is a big hit and the Tommorrow Speedway is a bit lame.

Maybe they would rev it up a bit and make it more interactive (while waiting on line)?

It's one of those classic Disney attractions, but it has lived past it's prime. I vividly remember going on this ride back in 1972! Yeah, it would be cool if the Imagineers can re-do the ride and the use Mater and the rest of the gang somehow.

I would hope so... we were at Disneyland recently, and the cars are electric- the ride is so much quieter and less smelly. It would be great if they did a Cars update too!

This is my 4yo son's favorite ride. I hate it because of the slow loading. The comments of John Lasseter seem to offer GENERAL hope that the ride could be used to cross market the movie. He has said in interviews that he wants ride tie-ins for all the movies. Indy Speedway is a much better candidate than Test Track, in my opinion, since it's hurting for an upgrade.

They updated POTC to tie in with with movie and that ride wasn't even lame to begin with. I'd say that eventually, the cars will be updated.

It is hardly in theme with tomorrowland, and belongs in a Yesterdayland. They should do it up for Cars.

But isn't all of Tomorrowland a wonderful Yesterdayland? It's all a kitchy retro dream to me. But the speedway bites almost as bad a stitch. Both should be replaced asap.

At first the traditionalist side of me said no , but after seeing the movie I absolutly say yes. The movie was soo cute and I agree that the speedway has lasted way past its prime.

My daughter insists that she read in AP magazine that we get that if Cars was a hit they were going to update the Tomorrowland Speedway to resemble the Cars movie. But I didn't see it.

One could only hope.........I try to avoid this attraction like the plauge but DD 8 and DS 4 think it's really cool that they get to drive. I however, feel that the HOUR it takes out of our oh so precious Magic Kingdom time really squashes the coolness factor.
If I had a magic wand I'd make it disappear

I don't know if they would change, but they should. I think the CARS characters would be a great idea!!!
