Do you think TSMM will go FP+ only?

I've read that some attractions have gone FP+ only (A&E maybe?) along with comments? speculation? (I'm not sure which) that TSMM might go FP+ only. Does anyone know if there is anything more to this rumor than pure speculation? We are visiting WDW is mid-February and I was planning to attempt to ride TSMM standby at rope drop so we could save our FP+s for that afternoon at MK. Now I'm getting paranoid that if TSMM goes FP+ only, we could get shut out. Any thoughts??

There have been short-term experiments with a few attractions going FP+ only (only lasting a few days), but nothing permanent.

So if you don't get a FP+ in advance and they decide to do a "test" while you're there, you're just pretty much out of luck assuming it's a headliner like TSMM?

Kind of. When they did the FP+-only test on TSM, they added a bunch of FP+ reservations to the system the day of the test.

No but it seems pretty likely that TSMM and Soarin might add a 3rd track/theater that would be just for Fast Pass.
