Do you think it inappropriate

I don't think its inappropriate per say, but I don't think its necessary. I am heavier than the girl in the demo picture in the thread and I run with a t-shirt on so if I can deal with the heat then so can she. It just causes people to see more of you than they need too.

No, I do not think it inappropriate.

Why would it be more inappropriate than wearing a swim suit at the beach?
If we called the clothing article an exercise "halter" rather than a sports "bra" no one would think twice about women wearing them in public.

It'd be inappropriate if I did, believe me! Normally, though, it's fine. I'm just jealous!:rotfl2:

Not at all. Especially since, here in New York State, she could jog topless if she wanted to. It's the law.

I used to, back in the day, when my tummy was flat! I'd rather see a fit woman jog in a sports bra (which covers a lot), than a fat man mow his lawn without a shirt! And men seem to jog topless all of the time.

No complaints for me, but I'm a guy.

I still remember the glory days of health clubs when they all had a bar and thong leotards were in style......good times.

Perhaps unnecessary for you, but what you think is tolerable (from a temperature/comfort standpoint) is not the gold standard for the world. Also, joggin in August in say Maine, is a tad different from jogging in August in Mississippi.

I think it's not only appropriate to wear a sports bra and shorts, I think it's perhaps even necessary in this weather.

I was thinking that same thing!!!:)

Though I haven't noticed any one topless since just after they passed that!

I don't have a problem with it, however I think it may hinge on what the woman looks like wearing it. For example, on a woman like myself (fluffy and well endowed) it's probably not a good idea to go out in public dressed like that. (I do have a problem with the very overweight man in my neighborhood that walks around in the street daily without a shirt and his enormous, sweaty belly hanging out all over the place :scared1::eek:).

It's amazing how standards for this sort of thing vary by culture. Dh and I went to a resort in the Dominican Republic last year and realized very quickly that it was a "tops optional" kind of place. There were a lot of European women of various ages that didn't have a problem letting it all hang out. There was even one chick that decided to play volleyball in the pool like that. It was quite a shock at first, but by the end of our stay we were kind of used to it. I was suprised to see a woman take her shirt off and just wear a bra walking around the resort, but I guess she wasn't any less covered than she would have been wearing a bikini. :rotfl:

And I still disagree. But, thats ok. :thumbsup2

I don't necessarily think it is inappropriate, but I personally can't/won't. I am much more endowed than the girl in the photo on page 1, and the most supportive sports bras for me look much more like a bra than a tank top. I tried using crappy sports bras like the one in the photo, but my guess is that if you are over a b-cup, they are not really for you. Wearing a sports bra like that whole jogging will just contribute to saggy ****s and unsightly stretchmarks, IMHO.
