do you talk in your sleep?

Yes I do talk in my sleep and for that reason I refuse to sleep in a public place! I mean like nap on an airplane for example. I am afraid of what I'll say!

lol..... I just remembered this........ a couple of years ago the kids and I wanted to go back to Disney and DH kept "humming and hawing" over it, so we told him that the kids went in the room one morning and asked him again if we could all go and we told him he said yes, so we booked it that day..... :rotfl:

I cry a lot.. I'll wake up upset and my pillow will be all wet. I never remember the dreams those days. Although last night I I didnt cry and I had a dream that Shaina Twain was with me and a few other people and Party For Two came on the radio and I got happy, even though I was sitting with the singer and so I started singing it (in the dream, not alloud I hope). I woke up shortly after... :rotfl:

Apparently I do talk in my sleep occassionally (mainly if DH talks to me after I've already fallen asleep), but DH does it ALL THE TIME. When we first got married, I thought it was cute and would ask him questions to keep him going. Now I wish he'd shut up and let me sleep. :teeth: One night I couldn't get him to get his hand out from under my pillow because he was sure there was a screwdriver under there, and he just had to find it. He's lucky there wasn't one, or I'd have hit him with it.

My dh does, its usually something boring, technical and related to his job. I do elbow him to try to wake him up or shut him up. I need my sleep!! If he was saying something interesting I might want to listen, but that stuff is way over my head and boring to me.

I come from a long line of sleep walkers and talkers. I even answered the door in my sleep when I lived in the dorms in college. :sad2: Glad I had a good roommate to protect me from wandering off in the middle of the night.

I have several amusing stories. Maybe I'll share them tomorrow. It's too late tonight.

Let's see, I have yelled so loud I woke myself up. I threw a pillow across the room while at the 'person' I was talking too. Mostly I have conversations with DH where I am 1/2 awake 1/2 asleep. They make no sense and he knows just to agree with me when I do it. :teeth:

talk in my sleep, scream in my sleep, look for missing children in my sleep by feeling all over the bed and my dh!

Yes, I have done a few times apparently! (I also grind my teeth in my sleep quite a lot)

The 'funniest' is when I was working in WDW. One night my Cantonese roommate came home from a party at about 4am. I apparently sat up in bed and started shouting at her "why didn't you wake me up for work?" and jumped out of bed and started getting dressed for work as hurriedly as possible. She's saying "Melissa, its fine, you aren't late..." etc over and again and I'm just ignoring her and saying I'm going to be in so much trouble etc.... Then suddenly I wake up and I'm stood there in the lamplight at 4am trying to put my tights (pantyhose?) on LOL.... I really don't know what went on there but she still finds it hilarious ;)

My dh and I have conversations all the time and he is dead asleep!! It took me months to realize he was sleeping. I would get mad that we would discuss something and then he would claim no knowledge of it in the morning! Finally it dawned on me, when he says "Ya' know what?" he's asleep.

I do have to tell you a funny story that just happened last night. DH rolls over in a panic last night to tell me that there is a T-rex trying to get into the house. Wait it gets better. It has an eye patch, a gold tooth, a hook and a parrot on it's shoulder!!! Thinking back as to what we were talking about right before he dozed off, I commented that a week from last night we would be settling in for the night at AKL. I wonder if his brain mixed up POC and Dinosaur!?!??!

I don't but my dad does. Some of my best childhood memories are vacations where we all stayed in one room and got to mess with my dad when he was sleeping. You can really get him going and it's so funny. To this day we still have a good time messing with him :teeth: Guess who's easily entertained

One night when I was about 16 we were on vacation and we had Star Trek:TNG on the tv and he went into a whole rant about Capt. Picard. It was so hysterical. He never believes us when we tell him about it, which gets us all laughing again the next day. :goodvibes

I talk in my sleep all the time. DH has finally learned to just ignore it--apparently, I sound wide awake when I do this but I get really frustrated if someone talks back to me and doesn't seem to understand the nonsense I'm spouting. :teeth: Now he just kisses me on the forehead or gives me a hug and I go back to sleep without waking up. He snores so I guess we each have our faults!

My sister and I used to argue in our sleep from different rooms when we were living at home. My mother said she never could get a rest from our bickering.

I don't talk my I do scream when I have nightmares. DH used to laugh at me :sad2: and I finally told him to wake me up because I am obviously having a bad dream and in distress.

My DD17 giggles in her sleep. They must be some really good dreams she is having.

When I was at my grandma's house in Chicago I was playing Wheel Of Fourtne with my sister. That night we slept down in my Aunt's apartment in my grandma's house my sister heard me say occupation from Wheel Of Fourtune. What is weird to me is I can feel my lips move when I talk in my sleep.

:flower: :sunny:

When I was a kid we went to Yellowstone on vacation. We stayed in a cabin with bunkbeds and I wanted to sleep in the top bunk. Dad awoke in the middle of the night to see me standing on the edge of the top bunk, ready to dive off. He jumped out of bed and caught me as I made a perfect dive. He put me in the bottom bunk for the rest of the night and I never woke up. By the way, the floor was cement. Yikes!

Another time we were on a family vacation. Dad heard me say something so he sat up in bed to look at me. I was sitting up in my bed and when he looked at me, I took off my nightie and threw it in his face. :earseek: Then I curled up like nothing had happened. Imagine my horror when I woke up naked! I said "What happened to my nightie?" and Dad held it up and asked why I chucked it at him. :confused3

Right after he graduated from college, my brother came home for the summer. One night he went to sleep early. Mom and I were at the kitchen table and he reappeared with his arms in the air. "Ta-daaaaaa!" he yelled. We both looked up expectantly. We had no idea he was sleep-walking. "We got Ethel Merman and she put us over the top!" Mom and I both continued to look puzzled. Ethel Merman? About that time he woke up and realized he was sounding goofy. "Oh, never mind!" Turns out he was part of a telethon and EM came on to sing and they met their goal. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My DH once woke me up in the middle of the night. He was chattering about a program he was working on and typing on his stomach. It was really funny!

My grandfather once had a fight in a dream and kicked the wall. It broke his toe! Grandma wouldn't sleep with him after that. She moved to her own room. LOL!

DH is a sleep chatterer--it used to really freak me out but now I find it funny.

I'll never forget the night he went on and on, in all earnestness, about how we needed to watch our jelly diet... Not sure what that was about, but it seemed very important to him!

I evidently do occasionally. It's always been on nights when I'm wayyy over-tired. The first time I know that I started talked in my sleep was when I was coming down with Mono, and thus I was very drained and exhuasted. Must be something about the type of sleep I have when I'm so tired.... also, I don't think it's complete conversations... just random bits of sentences... but as I say, I've never heard it myself so I'm not really too sure. ;) Maybe I don't actually talk in my sleep at all. ;)
