Yes, I've talked behind people's backs and probably will again!
And to horrify you more....I've talked about a friend to another friend before, I've talked about my boyfriend to a friend, even complained about one sister to another one before!! Of course it's when I'm really mad and ended up saying it to their face also, but still...I did it!

And I'm sure I've passed on some really juicy gossip about people before too... (you know, so and so are breaking up...etc...)

Sorry, don't buy for a second people who said they never do that. You've never been mad at a friend or whatever and complained about them to somebody else?

Nowhere in the post I was referring to did you mention anything about "according to what I was told". And you DID state as fact something that you really don't know, i.e., what is posted there. Here's the post for your review:

And in my case, b/c of my dh taking over my persona here and writing a funny, albeit embarrassing thread, my relationship with my dh is being talked about on another board about how awful he is and how horrible our relationship must be - all of which is really false.

IMO, anyone who says they have never talked about someone behind their back is kidding themselves. Call it a vent, or a discussion or whatever, but if the person isn't there, you talked behind their back.

BTW, I got a PM about them "talking about me" on the other board that will not be named. Interesting reading but it didn't bother me. I'm sure I do things worth talking about frequently . I'm very imperfect and able to admit to it .

Mostly when I was a teenager - I'm not so bad now.
Never about my BF though - he's never been anything but a total sweetie to me (if I've got something to say, I have it out with him!).

AND, I'm not passing judgment - I have always said IF it is true, it's offensive and immature; if it's not true - then it's not - I have never said anything other than that. So, no I'm not basing it on hearsay, I'm saying if the hearsay turns out to be true, then it's a sad and immature situation.

Are you telling me it's not true - that no one is making fun of anyone else here on another board?

EVERYONE talks about people behind their backs. Some do it more often and more maliciously than others.

I have found throughout life that the people who tell me others are gossipping about me are ALWAYS the more malicious. Otherwise, I would go through life merrily none the wiser.

As I said earlier, I know that my ears are burning some evenings during the homework hour, and on occasion tongues flap re. every teacher. I have no need to know what is said by whom!

Hey guys, over on the DIS, they are in this big flap over the stupidest things!!! I mean, they are on page TEN now, over whether or not they talk about people behind their back. Honestly, poster1 said that she would never talk about anyone.. And now poster2 and poster3, who are proud 'talkers' are flaming poster1 for being holier than thou... Heck, they can't even agree on what all the discussion is about. They have like 10 different definitions of 'talking behind peoples backs'

I mean really.... TEN pages of this... thay are soooo stupid.... They must really need to get a life. They sit and type and type about such trivial and idiotic subjects...
