on vacation ? If so do you use it much ?

no, its nice to have but I got my blackberry to check out a few favorite places i might want to look at

a couple of times but I never used it. I will not be taking it in the future.

We will be there 10 days and although I will have my IPhone by then I will probably take my laptop. My husband has 2 internet cards so we won't have to pay for Disney internet service. We can just each use one of his internet cards.

I'll be taking my netbook this trip because I will be taking classes so I may have to check in. I am going during my fall break, but that only covers Monday and Tuesday... but I have permission to miss that Thursday's class as well. Then I have an online class.

But that is what I have to do to go when I want.

No, we try and disconnect from our lives when on vacation and with the exception of DS none of us have smart phones.

me to but still like to just check a couple of sports sites and a news site or two

If we're only away for a long weekend or something, I don't. We both have smartphones. DH pretty much brings his work laptop EVERYWHERE!! Heck, if we go to the mall , he brings it and leaves it in the car! If we're away for a week or more, yes, I bring a laptop. I like to download memory cards every night.

Used to take my laptop now I take my iPad.

Depends. If we're in the US & driving we take it. If we have to fly it depends on the length of the flight & the number of airports. We didn't take it during a 10 day trip to Turkey. We just took our digital camera & our iPhones. However, when we took a longer overseas trip we did take it because DH wanted to be able to dump pictures on it.

Short trips - usually not. Longer trips we take the laptop.:goodvibes

Since we don't have smartphones, we do take our laptop with us on vacation. I don't have to do tons of printouts to take with me any more (except for coupons, tickets, etc.). It's used mainly to look up information on restaurants and local activites that I haven't already previously researched.

Not to Disney since you have to pay for internet.

Sometimes I'll take the Netbook for weekend getaways if there's free wi-fi at the hotel, but I don't always use it.

For our overseas trip next week, we'll be taking the Netbook and an iPod Touch so that we can keep in touch with people back home.

Depends on where we're going and for how long. I do use it when I bring it though.

Nope. Laptop stays home. I do bring a cell phone in case of an emergency, but my last vacation was to a remote area of Canada with no cell coverage.

This, exactly. :) It's so much lighter and easier to carry!

I am a fairly early riser and DH is definitely NOT - so I'll lounge in bed checking news, Facebook, Twitter, DIS....you know, the "important" stuff - while he sleeps in a bit. The tv will wake him, and I like my morning time...whether I'm at home or on vacation! :thumbsup2
