Do you take Umbrellas in for rain?

We will be there during the entire week of Thanksgiving, and it looks like a chance of rain next weekend. So that got me thinking about if we should bring umbrellas or if it's more of a pain? What do you all do? I don't want to leave the parks for a little rain but don't want to be a drowned rat either.
Thanks!

I bring rain gear. Buy lightweight waterproof pants and jackets from REI or other quality sporting goods store. This is much better than any poncho or umbrella. A wide rimmed hat (Indiana Jones or Cowboy style) is very functional in the rain.

Properly dressed, you might even look forward to rain
There will be no lines :goodvibes

We'd rather get ponchos too -- it's easier to wear something than to haul around an umbrella all day.

I have my mini Disneyland umbrella that fits in my baggallini and then I have my Mickey poncho as well :) I am all ready if it rains!!

If you're going to be anyplace with a lot of people around then umbrella's aren't a good choice. The little tips of an open umbrella are around eye-level with those nearby.

I carry a small Totes umbrella that I clip on the outside of my handbag if they are calling for rain when I'm going to the parks. Not a big fan of the poncho.

We bought Disney ponchos some years ago at WDW, it was pouring down & we had no choice. If I would have know ahead, I would have bought the ones at the dollar store.

When it rained during our trip in early October I used an umbrella. It was not crowded enough to be a problem at all. It rained all day and I definitely was drier than my husband who did not have one.

We prefer ponchos and if it's not freezing to also wear flip flops. Soggy feet are the worst. :scared: I have found umbrellas to be a total pita.

This is exactly what I was going to say. It's a huge hassle (and dangerous, besides) to carry around an umbrella when the Park is crowded.

However...I discovered during my December trip last year that even if you'll have/wear a poncho whilst in the Park, and will not be using an umbrella inside the Park, it's a VERY GOOD IDEA to have a foldup umbrella that you can use if you have to wait for the ART bus or for a hotel shuttle. Nothing can kill a good mood after a great day in the Park quite like waiting in the freezing, pouring rain at night for a bus that's taking its own sweet time to show up :rotfl:
