Do You Take Prescription Medicine?

Hi Rosie,
I'm almost 73 and I take blood pressure and thyroid prescription meds. I have refused to take a bone building medicine and a chloresterol medicine because of cost. My husband is 80 and he takes blood pressure, diabetes, gout, chronic diarrhea, and 2 different eye drops for glaucoma. We both take a low dose aspirin and while it's not a prescription it is prescribed by our respective doctors. I also take vision vitamins - also not a prescription but recommended by my optometrist. Geeze, it sounds even worse when I write it all down. You didn't ask but our prescription drug bill is about $400 per month.

Yours is an interesting question.

I take BCP's and I'm 24 :)

Lotrel and Synthroid on a regular basis. Claritin-D as needed, which is all of the time right now. I am 42.

I'm 40 and take Zyrtec, Advair and Albuterol and sometimes Aciphex and Ibuprofen 800. It gets expensive even with insurance.

I am 44 and taking not one, but 2 Blood Pressure medicines! Never had High Blood Pressure before, but I guess its part of getting OLD! I also pop about 5 Advils a day!

I'm 47 taking two blood pressure meds each day. Also on an as needed basis: claritin for allergy, and let's give it up for.........PREVACID(acid reflux). What a fun thread:eek:

I am 37 years old and I take:

Allegra D as needed for allergies
Albuterol inhaler & Singulair pill for asthma
Zocor for hereditary cholesterol problem
BCP for obvious reasons;)
