OrangeOrange or Green?
OrangeOrange or Green?
You can ride Orange, but not tea cups??Orange
Yup. It’s a different experience when you can see that you’re actually spinning around versus feeling the forces from a centrifuge. At least that’s how it is for us. You may feel it differently though. How about you, do you like mission space, either flavor? You can ride Orange, but not tea cups??
I agree, to me the orange side was like being in a vehicle that is making a power start. I can't see the spinning so it is just pressure on my body. That is the only sensation I get. I can understand that taking off in a car in a straight line is way different then spinning because then it becomes an inner ear problem where visuals are not necessary.Yup. Orange was much more intense than I expected… but I guess technically I haven’t ridden the tea cups in decades so I shouldn’t talk. lolYup. Soarin’ is my favorite ride. Has been since the first time I’ve ridden it. Do like the ‘over Cal’ better than ‘around the world’. When Flight of Passage came out, my family called it Soarin’ on steroids and that knocked Soarin’ down a notch for them. But not me, it’s still my all time favorite.Orange was much more intense than I expected… but I guess technically I haven’t ridden the tea cups in decades so I shouldn’t talk. lol
Also my feet get tingly in Soarin’ so I should just step down from my soapbox.![]()
There is nothing better than when flying through the Orange Tree scene!Soarin’ is my favorite ride. Has been since the first time I’ve ridden it. I don't really have a favorite, I like both, & especially now that they fixed the Eiffel Tower.Soarin’ is my favorite ride. Has been since the first time I’ve ridden it. glad they fixed the Eiffel tower, that was bad, I haven't rode since reopening because of the curved leaning tower, might have to try it again during my February tripI don't really have a favorite, I like both, & especially now that they fixed the Eiffel Tower.
I forgot they fixed that. That will definitely make the experience better. I’ll be checking it out when we go in May.glad they fixed the Eiffel tower, that was bad, I haven't rode since reopening because of the curved leaning tower, might have to try it again during my February trip
I'm not sure how they fixed it, I mean you would think its the screen, not the film, but they re-filmed it or something, also added a new/different ending.News to me! When and how did they fix it. I know that if one sits in the center section, the tower never was bent looking. It was on the outer sections though.
I had heard that there was a projection lens that will work with a wrap around screen that would straighten everything out, but it's been years now and we had heard that the executive had made the decision not to spend the big bucks to fix the problem. That's just a rumor but it they finally decided to project it properly than I say good for them. Took them long enough.I'm not sure how they fixed it, I mean you would think its the screen, not the film, but they re-filmed it or something, also added a new/different ending.![]()
I do but my wife has cut back on some of the coasters (EE, GotG,) because of motion sickness
I love that ride too.I don't really have a favorite, I like both, & especially now that they fixed the Eiffel Tower.
Yea that would be great. Hopefully this is the start of it.!!It’d be great if they had 3 or 4 different randomized “trips” you went on kind of like Star Tours does.
If you can do them now, no reason you can't continue! I've got 25 years on you and still ride ToT, Guardians, Velocicoaster at Universal.I'm 37 and one of my biggest fears is the day I can no longer do thrill rides. I'll still probably be trying to do ToT in my walker in 50 yrs.
I’ve got 40 years on Jmb12 and still do all the rides. I have no physical limitations whatsoever. My issue is that the supposed thrill rides at WDW are not thrilling enough for me so I have to go to US.I've got 25 years on you and still ride ToT, Guardians, Velocicoaster at Universal.
I've got almost 40 years on him/her and have a few limitations but if I were to head for WDW I guarantee you that everything that I have ridden (everything in WDW) since I was 35 years old would still be on my list. Some I like better than others and how much I like something is the only filter I use. But sometimes the filter is out for cleaning.I’ve got 40 years on Jmb12 and still do all the rides. If you can skydive in your 70s, amusement park rides are a breeze.
Right! Orange side was one and done for me. I usually don't get motion sick at all. On that ride, I was miserable the whole time. When I got off the ride, I had to sit down for an hour or so to get my legs back and the nausea and head spinning to stop. I'm not a whimp and ride all the other rides, but That one is a Big No for me. Never again.I was surprised how intense Orange was, thinking it would just be like a regular "warning" but it definitely feels like it needs a warning. lol
