Do you still get excited when you book?

All this talk about how DVC is overpriced and how this resort is better than that resort and that nonsense can be pretty frustrating, to say the least.

I think at least as important as what you pay for DVC (whether you own at "older OKW" or "tiny BWV" (tongue in cheek) ) is how much you ENJOY DVC. I am in the middle of booking a reservation for the week before halloween at BWV for the F&W festival and so we can try out MNSSHP for the first time. Every day that I call to add a day to my reservation, I am as excited as a kid on christmas morning, dreaming about all of the fun that we are going to have. 8 nights in a luxurious 1 bedroom right in the middle of my favorite place on earth. It doesn't get much better than that (well, unless you add more nights!) I love DVC because it feels like I ALWAYS have something to look forward to!

Anyone else still get excited when booking?

I have been a member since 2001 and have always stayed at OKW. I love the feel of the resort. Over the past few years, I have booked some great AP rates. When I get these great rates, I always say, "Was DVC really the best Choice?". That is until I stay in a hotel type room and then I can't wait to get back to my 1 or 2 br.

I am always excited about DVC and booking by next visits. I have done 2 add-ons and would do more if I could.

Like my guide Ricardo told me when I made my first purchase, DVC is not for everyone. It can be expensive but I don't think of it that way until I read some of the posts on this board.

For me and my family Disney has become a way of life.

I do!!!! No matter where I stay, I always think that each resort has it's own specialness, whether it's location, room size, ambience or whatever.

We have been members for many years, and I still get excited when I make plans and reservations, I look forward to every trip and have never been dissapointed with my DVC home, no matter where I have stayed. Some people think we are nuts, but Oh well! This kind of "nuts" is good

I will be booking for the first time next week (trying on Dec 1) as we are new owners at SSR. I just cant wait.

I tried to make the point on the other thread on the cheapest resorts, was that we feel so lucky just to be able to be DVC members. I am really not concerned with what resort we stay at, we just love Disney so much, to be able to stay in a deluxe room will be icing on the cake. But the important thing is the vacation itself, and we just love Disney.

We thought people would think we are crazy, but everyone we have talked to have had positive reactions, and a few have borrowed our member guide to read more about it.

Cant wait to book. I am trying for 2 reservations, a week in may, and a week in the fall to send my parents down for their anniversary. Keeping my fingers crossed

We have trip#14 coming up NYE. Only three of them were not DVC, our very first trip when we bought DVC, a convention that my employer sent me to and I brought my husband and son, and our 7 for 4 trip this past summer. We are very excited and count down the days. We love staying at all our resorts and checking out the others.

We're planning trip #15 (Disneyland), #16 WDW 10K in October and #17 (WDW Marathon in Jan 05).

Oh Lord yes!!!!! I just finished booking a studio at OKW for the end of January and I'm on cloud 9 now.

Yes, we get MEGA excited!!! I am also booking the same week as you at VWL, and I am all pumped up for MNSSHP and F&W. We went this year during October, and those were my two favorite events ever at WDW. We decided to go every year in late October because this year was so awesome!

YES we still get excited here too!!! Just booked May trip to BCV and got confirmation in the mail today and that was the first piece of mail I ripped open!!! Set my computer Disney Time to the countdown and have 169 Days 20 Hrs 4 Mins 1 Secs left to go!!!

I am excited when we plan a new trip. I can't book until December 28 although I plan on doing day by day if I need to. So, I am already excited!!!! We are doing a family trip and my MIL and SIL wore their WDW t-shirts yesterday because they said, "one year from today, we will be in Epcot!!!"

We definitely get excited when we book our next trip. We both work full-time while raising four children, and nothing is better to look forward to than a trip to WDW!!!
