I don't. I grew up with parents that were both very heavy smokers. Then, as the teenage years approached, my siblings all started smoking. Even from the time I was a kid, I was always totally grossed out by smoking so I never even tried once. Not that it really matters because I inhaled 20 years of second-hand smoke when I lived at home!
My DH doesn't smoke either, thank goodness.
Now that I'm in my 40's, I'm super-sensitive to that horrible smoky smell. When co-workers go out for a 'cigarette break', I can smell it on them when they get back in the office. When I go to visit my parents, all I can smell is that horrible tobacco smell until I have an opportunity to change my clothes (usually the exact moment I get home!). I smell it in my hair until I shampoo it. I smell it on my purse. Ugh, I wish they would quit. If cigarettes are doing that to clothing, I can't even imagine what it's doing to their lungs. But, sadly, they are so addicted that they probably will never quit.
So, do you smoke? If so, when did you start? When did you quit?
