I never take mine off except when I work on a cars electrical system (Those things get reeeaaaalllll hot of you touch it against the wrong thing.) or when I'm using chemicals.
It's a comfort thing with me. It is uncomfortable when I sleep. DH lost his ring about 13 years ago and we never replaced it. I know I'm married, don't need a ring to remind me.....believe me though, sometimes I'd like to forget
If I took it off, DW would be calling me to ask why!
sort of a gps device?
hehehehehe
The truth is that it would take some effort to get it off, and I used to only for safety reasons (working on electronic equiptment, etc.) but it was such a pain, that I just started wearing gloves or taping it up.
I take mine off every single evening, and put it on every single mornign after my shower. I sleep on my hands, and am just afraid that one morning I would wake up with a "crater-sized hole in my face" due to the ring setting.
I take all my jewelry off as soon as I get home and my husband takes his ring off when he gets home too.... I don't think anyone around the house questions our union
When I just had my engagement ring, I used to always wear it to sleep. But the prongs would get annoying sticking to my sheets and everything. One time, it somehow bent one of the prongs and I had to go get it fixed.
Now I take off my engagement ring and wedding band when I go to sleep. I also take them off in the shower. Other than that, they're on pretty much all the time.
I guess I am totally in the minority...I almost never wear my rings, on days I go to the office and if going out to dinner or something similar with hubby or friends. I work from home so the rings only come out a couple times a month when I actually go to the office. But otherwise it stays in the box. And I definitely do NOT wear them to bed or when getting my hands wet. My skin gets very irritated if it gets wet under the rings.
