Do you Shop on Black Friday????

I have never done it before, but my mom and I are planning on doing it this year. She absolutely loves to shop. We are done with our shopping for our kids, so I don't have to worry about buying toys.

How early do the stores open? Am I insane?

Last year I went with a group of friends to Target. I thought a fight was going to break out before the store opened. There was a line, but some people wouldn't get in it-just milled around by the doors. They had small stereos on sale and each of us (6) had wanted one. We grabbed them and went to small electronics, a few friends wanted phones, cameras, etc. I stayed out in the aisle to watch the carts while they got in line at the counters. Boy did I get the dirty looks and remarks as I stood with 3 carts of stereos. Don't know if I'll try again this year.

I do 99% of my X-mas shopping from home on my computer. We don't go on black Friday with all those lines. DH and I usually go out X-Mas shopping a couple of nights before X-Mas and look at decorations, have dinner and pick up a few things that we would have otherwise missed. Gets us in the spirit!
The only lines I don't mind are Disney Lines!

No way!!!!! I don't have the patience to go shopping on that day and deal with the crowds. But we do put up our tree and decorations that day.

It is Garden Ridge on Thanksgiving night and up SUPER early on Friday for the Early bird sales and then - back at home by lunch time. I just hope there will be good deals this year- I need a Playstation 2 for DH- thank goodness my boys(2&3) are too little to really have their minds set on something.

I never have, but I'd love to. Only problem... I'm in the wrong country Maybe one year I'll get to the states for Black Friday if the sales are really as good as they sound!

I went once with my mom... THAT WAS MADNESS!!! It reminded me of the Running of the Bulls. People get pushy and angry, exchange words over something in the store! That's just plain crazy! If they get that upset over something materialistic, can you imagine them in day to day life?!?!

I will be out of the house 5:45am on black friday dragging DH behind me
we tandom shop so much more fun that way
last year he was so sleepy
we were in walmart at 6am after about 1/2 - 45 min of shopping we discovered he had his sweatshirt on inside out
we laughed and laughed we were in such a hurry to go he couldn't even dress properly
