Inspired by a TV programme I watched last night on germs! Do you have your own towels?

ewww---no. Bath towels are a use once and toss down to the laundry type thing, they dn't get used over and over

Do we share, as in I take a shower and lay my towel out to dry and when dh takes his shower grabs my now damp towel and uses it to try off with....that would be a NO!!!

Do we grab what ever towel we want out of the linen closet, then yes we do share. Towels aren't color coded - purple mine, blue DH's, ect - like someone we know does.

Well, that cleared things up.

As others have stated by their question...do you mean after they've been used, or as one PP stated, does each person have their own, as in color-coded?

No sharing AFTER USING.

Agreed; I share CLEAN towels with my family members... once they're used they're in the laundry.

We don't have color-coded towles or anything, but my husband will occasionally use my towel after he showers. I don't really like it when he does that, but it is really no big deal.

I typically use one towel for the whole week, hanging it to dry between uses. I'm just wiping clean water off of my clean body, so I figure the towel doesn't actually get that dirty.

Wow. You folks must wash a lot of towels!! I hate laundry too much for all that.

I shower in the am and hang my towel to dry. Dh showers in the pm (when he is home) and uses the now dry towel. I was clean when I dried off with it and so is he. I guess I don't see the problem.

I never use anyone else's towel, but DH and sometimes DS will use whatever towel comes to hand. They can't remember which one is their towel for some reason If I find out that they have used my towel I get a clean one. We re-use our towels about 3 times before they go to the laundry.

Usually--but sometimes I don't care.

My kids are notoriously bad about using a towel once and then they are done with it. But they don't shower everyday so it isn't a big deal.

We have a family of 5 and I can't imagine washing 35 towels in one week though to have single use all the time.

As for me--well....like Cuba Gooding Jr--I will often drip dry. Just a light drying with the towel though...and the rest just dries naturally.

And--we reuse pool towels....and those sometimes get...shared.

that's kind of what i was thinking!! I share sheets with the man! Why wouldn't I share a towel??

Family of 5 and yes I wash 35 towels a week, plus hand towels. So my answer is no to sharing.

We have separate bathrooms so I don't have to be concerned about sharing towels. I do re-use my bath towel several times before putting it into the hamper. My body is clean when I dry off, and I hang the towel over the shower frame so it's dry for the next shower. I don't see anything wrong in a person re-using their towel a few times. Saves on the laundry.

Even hotels like you to use your towel more than once, if you're staying there for a few days. If towels are hung up, they stay. If they are on the floor they will be replaced.
