Somewhere I heard you fit more when u roll your clothes..anyone done this?

I learned that trick from a flight attendent that I once dated. It seems to work for me, when I roll, my clothes. She told me that they all do that, since most of them only pack in a small carry on. Hope this helps.

Being in the military and having packed many many seabags, I would suggest rolling, putting socks, etc.. in shoes, and packing toiletries in zip lock baggies. Also when you roll you will be surprised on the amount of room you will have left if you pack it real tight. I typically rolled up everything and stood it up long ways, not flat, that way if you squeezed the items between things it would just get tighter. Hope this helps.

I've never tried rolling but sounds like it might be a good idea, I'll have to try it I've always folded.

I've always folded and have tried...much to my demise...to fit 5 peoples worth of clothes into 1 large suitcase and a small carry-on. I never even thought of rolling, but I will definately remember to do that next time.

I to do the roll & love it! It also helps w/ wrinkles! :laundy:

I like to minimize the number of bags we carry and leave space for souveniers. I always roll. I can get more in the bag and I think our clothes are less wrinkled when we unpack.

Unless I have a prolonged menopausal moment I'm going to give that a try in Ausust (see how far I have to go to remember to do this???)!

We roll and then, to the extent possible, slide the rolled clothes into ziplock bags. Squishing out all of the air helps make even more room.

I use the bundle method suggested on the one bag type of sites. Seems to help prevent wrinkles and I know I wouldn't have made it into the number of bags we had coming back last week if I had rolled.

I fold and pack my clothes using the Pack-It folding sleeves. I can't recomend them enough!

Everything stays nice and neat in your suitcase, and it makes them easy to unpack when I arrive. I can put the sleeves right in the drawers in the room, and my stuff actually never has to touch anything.

I let my mother borrow them once, and I had to go buy myself more. She refuses to give them back.

I've never tried rolling. Do your clothes get all wrinkled when you roll?

I learned about rolling from an old boyfriend in the Navy. It's amazing how much more you can pack and it does help w/ wrinkles.

Fold, but I think for my up-and-coming WDW trip (May '08) I will try rolling!

I always roll!:rotfl: haha I managed to get twice as much stuff into my small carry on as my sister did with her carry on last month when we went to NYC. I suggest giving it a try.

I used to fold and then one time I decided to roll. It is much better and I fit a lot more in my luggage. I actually dont have less wrinkles but as long as I can fit more in my luggage it doesnt matter.
