Do you reuse your towels?

I use it until I can smell it when I walk into the bathroom, then I change it out.. ;)

i don't even use a towel I just put my clothes straight on. No big deal. The bathroom I use has no storage for towels so thats how i got in that habit. I also often just put my hair back in a scrunchy, let it air dry then do it the next morning. My system works for me. I also don't use dryer sheets!!! I am a rebel.

Its not about them being dirty from you using them, its about what is growing on that damp towel when you are done using it :scared1:
I use 2 towels, 1 for my hair and one for my body. The next day I use my body towel for my hair and get a new body towel. Then in a bleach wash they go :thumbsup2

I'm not doubting you, but have to wonder about the "science" behind this train of thought. I have an aunt who feels the same exact way, so you're not alone! I'm a pretty big germaphobe, but I guess this one doesn't bother me:confused3

Yup, after 2 or three times, depending. However if DS doesn't hang it up right away and I find it, into the wash it goes.

Yes, DH and I have always reused. As hot and dry as our climate is, the towels are dry by the time we hang them up again!

When the boys were still at home, their towels were not reused.

I was in college before I realized that not everyone reused their towel a few times. I had a roommate who's mom was a bit weird about towels. She would buy all new towels for her house every 6 months and send the old ones to my roommate. Never the nice oversized fluffy ones, but the small, old lady towels in weird colors. They were patterned like sculpted carpet. strange.

my roommate did use a fresh towel every day, but felt no compulsion to get new ones every 6 months so had stacks and stacks of towels. she couldn't get rid of too many because her mom snooped the linen closet when visiting.

we all have our quirks, and that was hers! :rotfl:

We reuse towels a few times before washing. I have a twisty turbie for my hair and I use that a few times before washing too. I would say on average we each (DH & I) use 2 towels a week.

Yes, we definitely reuse our towels. When you get out of the shower or bath, you are clean and simply drying off. No need to simply toss the towel into the dirty clothes.

I'm a single, working mom. I reuse my towels!

Teenage DS, on the other hand, who has never done a load of laundry in his life, uses a new towel each time!

TC:cool1:

We reuse a couple of times (DH and I), but the girls, who never do laundry, alwys come in my bathroom and grab a clean one each time and take it upstairs to shower. I have to do my "crazy lady" routine an average of twice a week where I scream upstairs for them to bring what is generally 10 or so white towels that have each been used onc and allowd to sit on the floor getting funky. I hate three story houses!

So I guess I am the only freak that doesn't even use a towel? i just put my clothes on in the bathroom and that is that. Sometimes my jeans go on a little snug but that just reminds me I need to lose more weight, all the other clothes have little water spots that dry right away, way better then creating a load of useless laundry.

Yes we reuse. We use them until the next time I wash towels (once a week) and then I put up the new ones as I take the old ones down to be washed. Like others we will not reuse or reuse less if people are sick, etc.

:thumbsup2

I've never heard of anyone not reusing towels and I find that very odd. It seems like an unnecessary waste to me.

use them till next weekly wash day, then washed with an organic detergent with no dyes or fragrance, and dried with hot air only!
