Do you recommend hopper for a 3 day trip in DL?

We are going to DL June 2012 for 3 nights. My DS will be 7 and my DDwill be 5. I am thinking about getting the three day theme park tickets but wounding if I need the hopper, in WDW we usually stay for a week so we don't do hopper.
Thanks.

I recommend the hopper no matter how long the trip. DL is not like WDW. The two parks are directly across from each other - a very short walk. Park hopping is a breeze and makes more sense than the one-park-per-day tickets.

If your budget allows, definitely get the hopper. The entrance gates for the two parks are a 90-second walk across from each other. Park hopping does not require transportation like at WDW, so give yourself the option to go back and forth everyday. :thumbsup2

I definitely suggest getting a parkhopper. As people have said before, it is a really short walk and sometimes there are things that break down, so you could end up missing them without a parkhopper! For instance, if Little Mermaid broke down in DCA the day you were there, to see it, you'd have to take another day in just DCA to get in Little Mermaid or miss it entirely.
I think the convenience of a parkhopper is so work it. I've park hopped 3 or 4 times in a day before just because of crowd levels and to fit in different entertainment.

Agree 100% with prior 2 posters. Hopper is the way to go. If it gets busy in one park the other park may be better idea to visit. Personally I think CS at DCA is better then DL ( no flames please). There are also more table service choices at DCA. So you could play in one park but walk across and dine at other.

Thinking price wise hoppers are only a couple of dollars more.

Hope this helps

Absolutely do the park hoppers! I never spend all day in one park. DH and I go between parks multiple times per day. Your hopper passes can get Fast Passes in each park at the same time since they run on independent timing systems. Like you can go and get a FP at Indy and then immediately go over to CA and get one for Soarin' - you don't have to wait.

The parks are so close they really feel like one big park with turnstiles in the center. :)

Another Park hopper here.

We usually start the Day at Disneyland, then hop over to DCA, then hop back to DL to finish the day. We very rarely spend the entire day at one park and never the entire day at DCA.

Well, here is you first lesson on how DLR is different from WDW. :) Parkhopping is an entirely different thing at DLR.

Better still, start here and then you will understand better...
