Do you re-use your bath towels?

We each have different colored towels so it's easy to keep track off. Towels get washed on Mondays, sheets go on Fridays. Between all of the kids activities and my husband's work clothes I already do at least 1 load every day, there is no way I would do a towel load every day as well.

we use towels only once for daily showers - then they're washed.

We use towels multiple times at home. My DD is on a swim team and she even reuses her swim towels. She hangs them up and allows them to dry overnight.

Same here. As long as it dries everyday, not a problem.

Same here too! I don't understand washing towels that often, you're clean when you use it.

As a teen, I used a new towel after every shower. I thought it was gross to reuse. Then I went to college and had to do my own laundry. :rotfl: Ever since I have reused my towels for about a week unless I am sick.

Towels and sheets are changed once a week. I change my sleep clothes every other night. I take two showers a day (In the morning and then right before bed). We also re-use our swimming towels (have a rack for them to dry).

We reuse them a few times. We hang them up on the towel warmer so they dry within minutes. Coming from a country where energy costs are very high, I can't imagine doing laundry everyday, and besides that, I wouldn't have the time or will anyway.
We sleep naked, so there are no nightgowns, etc., just my daughter's pjs and she changes them every few days.

We use clean towels each time we shower. We have clear glass surrounds on our showers. When we finish showering, we squeegee the glass and use our towels to wipe out the excess water. By the time we're done, the towels are pretty wet.

Clean towel after every shower or bath. I was raised this way along with my siblings. My sister in law was raised to use a towel for a week before laundering. According to my bro, this was one of the biggest issues they had when they first married. They joke that when their kids date, the first they should ask is not about religious orientation, but about towel practices to insure compatibility.

We use our bath towels for one week. Occasionally, if I am going to be washing whites and have extra room, I will throw our bath towels in early but 90% of the time they are washed weekly. I use my same bath towel to dry my hair also, as well as to dry off my face at night after washing it.

Our bathroom hand towel gets replaced every 3 days.

As far as pajamas go, I wear them 2-3 times before putting on a fresh pair.

I also wash bed linens weekly. Well, the sheets anyway. Quilts, duvet covers, and pillow shams (just the decorative ones not the pillow cases we sleep on) all get washed once per month.

I try to wash the bathroom rug and other small accent rugs around the house every month.

I also wash our shower curtain and fabric liner every 2 months or so. :)

Interesting topic. I've had this conversation regarding jeans as well. I actually know someone who only wears a pair of jeans once, and then washes them. Plus they iron their jeans! :lmao: A little weird to me, but hey, to each their own. :thumbsup2

towels: wash once per week
sheets: wash once per week

pajamas: wear 2 sets per week....so 3 days for each

jeans: I feels jeans are "sturdy" enough to wear for a week... maybe 10 days, then wash. (DH only lets me wash his jeans once per month.) Plus when we're home, we change into our lounging clothes. A habit I picked from DH. So our jeans only get worn when we leave the house.

After a full day in my jeans, they seem kind of out of shape so that's why I re-wash them. I didn't used to back in the day when I had real Levi's made with great denim. But now the jeans get kind of shapeless in certain areas. Since my jeans are kind of form-fitting, it's important to me that that look good while I'm wearing them.

I have always used towels for a few days between washings. The towels are hung to dry between showers and we each have our own spot to hang our towel. I was a 2 towel girl (1 for hair, 1 for body) until I discovered the turbie twist - greatest invention ever!

DH grew up using a new towel and washcloth for every shower. He lived in a house of 6-7 people. I think his mom just really likes doing laundry ;)

Pajamas are also worn a few times between washings. Sheets are washed once a week. Jeans are usually worn a few times, depends where they were worn (I hate going out to a restaurant and smelling like food when I come home) and if they baby spit up on them or not; same thing for sweatshirts

We shower at night, hang our towels to dry, and then reuse them in the morning. All the towels then go into the wash after our morning showers. I wash our pjs every day. We are all in the phases of life where we sweat in the night (40's and teens) so I just wash them. I wash our sheets once a week.
