Since it is a DVC perk, just wondering how many of you pool hop. If you do, which is your favorite pool to "hop" to? I will be at OKW. I know pool hopping is not permitted at YC/BC or AKL.
Funny, but we've never pool hopped. Been members since 1995 and have occasionally thought about it (but not while actually at Disney) but have always been happy just going to the pool right there. No need to carry a lot of stuff all over property or ride with wet swimsuits.
we stayed at DBV last trip, We went swimming at SSR and Coronado Springs,
I loved SSR pool, I liked the Zero entry and the slide was awsome.
Boardwalk had a great slide too.
We don't pool hop - have barely used the pool at all during our stays.
To me, swimming at another resort's pool is a lot of work and really doesn't add any value beyond swimming where we stay. I'd rather go to one of the waterparks if I'm going to leave the resort to swim. But that's me - I know lots of others think it's fun.
We sometimes take an afternoon and visit another resort for lunch and poolhopping. The kids always enjoyed Port Orleans & Dixie Landings when they were small. We have also gone to Poly or CR for a break from MK on particularly hot days. My next trip is an adult sister trip, and we may spend an afternoon at the Poly enjoying the pool and the bar there. Or maybe we'll go somewhere else depending on our mood at the time. We have taken advantage of this perk many times over the years, and really appreciate it.
Back when it was permitted, we pool hopped to SAB. Both my husband and son loved that pool. We have also pool hopped to WL pool a few times, can't remember why, but we did.
We hopped to the new pool at the GF a few years ago. We had already checked out, but we had a late flight, so we spent the day at the MK, then swam, showered and changed at the GF's new pool, very nice way to end our trip.
We have never pool hopped, but we are considering hopping to BWV from VWL for this October trip. I understand that in the past Halloween Trick or Treating has been around the Boardwalk area, and so, we may hop for swim in the afternoon, grab something to eat at Spoodles, and do some Trick or Treating with the DGC...we'll see. Alternatively, I think I heard there would be trick or treating around the monorail resorts, then we wouldn't pool hop, but take the boat to Cont. and go from there.
