Just wondering, do you play an instrument?

I played trumpet for 1 year, then switched to baritone, and this year switched to TUBA. I have only been playing tuba this year, but I am 1st chair All County! The concert is 2nite so wish me luck.

I also have started to play bass guitar.

How bout you?

Good luck in your concert. From my experience, tuba players are cool guys!!

I played French Horn in high school, but also played trumpet for Jazz Band and Mellophone for marching band. I started out on flute. And I like to try to play the piano. Now that I am an adult, I don't have much time to play any of them.

My son started playing oboe this past year. He took to it quickly, and was selected for not only school band, but an all town elementary advanced honors band. (only 5 kids from the school band made it to the advanced band)

Me, well I don't play a note.

Not well and only with music in front of me I can play the piano. Let's just say I'll never be headlining at Carnegie Hall. :p

I played the piano for 5 years when I was in elementary school and got to be pretty good but I'm lucky now if I can play chopsticks. :teeth:

I used to sing, does that count?

Sure it does! Your voice is an instrument, too. :)

I play clarinet, as does my GF Nikkie. In fact, that's how we met in the first place-- in the hallowed ranks of the Mighty Sound of the South, the University of Memphis Marching Band. Now, 10 years later, we're still together, Nikkie teaches music and clarinet, and we both still play most Sundays at our church.

Heck yes I do!

I play the recorder and can play a mean "Hot Cross Buns and "Under the Oak Tree." :p

:)

I've been playing the drums since I was able to hold a pair of sticks and I learned to play the guitar a few years ago. I'm a far better drummer than I am a guitarist, but both are fun and serve as a good release for all of my emotions.

Good luck!! :)

I played piano and guitar as a kid but cant play anymore. My oldest DD is 11 and she plays 3 instruments fluently - piano, electric guitar and violin. She is also on her 4th year of voice with a vocal coach.

My dd's taking guitar lessons and I've been sitting in on the lessons with her. I'm learning what she does so I can help her practice at home, and I'm having a lot of fun with it! The only other instrument I can play (used to play, at least) was the clarinet. I was a band geek! My dh was also a fellow band geek and he plays anything brass. Now if I can get my boys to learn drums, we'll have a band!
