When I travel, or go to a public place, the most interesting thing I can do is watch the people. I love to watch for certain things, like:

What type of shoes they are wearing

The confidence in their walk or bearing

Do they look at their friends/partner in the eye when they talk

Are they wearing a bra!

What language are they speaking

Do they notice me looking at them

Do they seem happy, sad, lonely, or engaged?

Do their friends look like them? (Many times they do)

==================

Do you like to people watch and what do you look for?

:rotfl2: I love to watch people. Only thing is I usually try to strike up a conversation in spite of the fact that I noticed they were crabs or whatever. Get in trouble that way. :teeth:

I love to people watch. It's one of my favorite things to do at WDW - so everyone be on your best behavior.

I like to watch people in restaurants. My favorite question is this: why would you go out to dinner with someone you had no interest in talking to? You'd be surprised how often I see this. The last time I went out, one couple took it to the extreme...she had a novel and he had Newsweek, and they read the entire time. They only spoke to the server.

Fascinating.

I love to people watch at Disneyland and WDW. :wizard: I just love watching people's reactions to seeing the castle, the characters, people meeting Mickey Mouse for the first time, etc. :goodvibes

I think that's normal. My partner isn't the type of person that likes to have conversations while at the dinner table. She eats her food, I eat my food and stare at other people, then we leave and we talk.

We invited some friends with us to go out and eat once and they talked and talked and talked and we were there FOREVER and the food was long gone. We thought we were going to go wacky because we are so not used to it.

We've gone and had nice meals where it takes 2 hours to be said and done and we pretty much just said oh can I taste that or can I have a sip of your drink.

I see couples or families all the time with magazines and books all the time when they go out to eat.

This is exactly what we do. We tend to have very little conversation at dinner, but once we walk out that door, you can't shut us up.

"Did you see what she was wearing?" "Did you hear what they were talking about?" "I can't believe..." Its awful I know, but I can't help it!

I am guilty of this sin. Watching people and labling them in single word categories. :guilty: Though there is a serious side of me that sees pain in people while they are walking around, oblivious, and I wonder what tradgedy has afflicted them, how they are attempting to deal with it and do I need to stay out of their way. Just this morning, I sat through a light cycle behind some moron (one of my favorite single word categories) who didn't make his turn on the green arrow. Fuming, I was really going to let him have it with my very loud, American made, GMC horn. Then I notice something...he, yes he, was crying. He didn't see the light change because he was rubbing his eyes. So then I start thinking...Did he get fired? Lose a loved one? Just have a really bad moment? :confused3 But I don't really people watch too often. DH will say, did you see that so and so? Or... Did you notcie that such and such? And I usually say no. I just don't pay too much attention to people who don't directly affect me. Usually, I'm the oblivious one.

Yes, my mother and I love to sit on a bench at Wildwood's boardwalk and people watch. We don't get too deep in our observations, though. Usually we're wondering why half of them would go outside in the outfits they are strutting their stuff in down the boardwalk!

I love people-watching. I've always been more of an observer than a participant. People-watching can be fascinating.

I like people-watching. Usually I just observe, but at Disney I enjoy starting conversations with complete strangers. Met some fascinating, interesting people there.

DH and I both love to people watch. I especially enjoy watching what I call "meltdowns" at WDW. I can always tell when a family is headed towards one.

:3dglasses Where's your favorite watching place at WDW (or DL, as a left coaster), Q?

I like sitting up on the train station deck, in MK, watching the people below in the town square.

:rotfl2: Guess you were watching DH and I. I personally love to talk during dinner, but my dh does not. He was single for many years and became accustomed to reading while he ate, so the habit has stuck with him. There will be times that neither of us feels like reading, so we chat during dinner...but the majority of the time he reads while I people watch :)

Hello My Name is Mom2ashli and I am a People Watcher.

You truely haven't people watched until you've done it at a Casino!

LOL, last night a friend and I were :rotfl2: at the people. A girl so drunk she kept falling on the floor and grabbing strangers legs. Another group screaming and crying at each other over who was going to pay for the next round. People with ridiculas clothes, cute clothes, great hair, etc. Sooo much fun.

We also try to find people that remind us of celebrities. :teeth:
