Do you pay attebtiont to peropls user names and remember their pots?

I remember some names. Mostly If they hang on the CB or some of the WISH board posters.

I have been wanting to ask this and it seems it is on topic. Can a poster be banned and what would justify a ban? The reason I ask is there was a poster that was super inflamatory and gave a lot of personal information but has been missing for months. I am not gonna lie, I lived for her postings. It was better then any reality show drama. I got really caught up in her and then had to quit cold turkey I have wondered if the mods finally found a reason to ban her. If you were on alot this past spring you will know exactly who I am talking about.

My favorite has to be WALL-E! He is so freakin hilarious! I also remember Robo because of all his wonderful maps and never ending knowledge of all things Disney.

my husband looked over my shoulder and said 'remember their pots? ..wait...'

I tend to not notice names, but signatures. Well at least until they say something Kooky and I look to see what their user name is, and where they are from.


There are some people that I know when I see them posting I am going to LOVE what they are saying... just because it is so out their that it gives me a giggle!

I also tend to remember people who's Trip Reports I have followed.

I recognize most the the regular community board posters. I also read a few other boards and only remember the posters who are "outstanding" in their posts!

I remember some people. I remember people who I like and almost always agree with, or some who I dislike and always disagree with. Or the ones I find especially funny, and the ones who post tons of personal information and seem to be overly dramatic. I've started to recognize people who keep coming back with different user names. And I tend to remember avatars and signatures - especially if they are animals - though I often don't remember the poster's user name. I remember one poster had the cutest golden retriever as her avatar or signature picture. I don't know if she changed her pictures or if she's gone now, but I miss seeing that dog. It confuses me when more than one person uses the same avatar or picture in their signature, especially when their posting styles are very different. It would be much easier for me to remember people if they all had different pictures.

Like everybody else, I usually remember pictures, signatures or avatars rather than names.

A few exceptions are DMRick and CinRel who were both so helpful to me a few years back when I took on the task of rescuing/taming a feral kitty

I've been around for a long time, so I recognize many of the long time posters by their screen names. I know quite a bit about their personalities (at least on this board). I don't tend to be controversial, so I don't have problems with many. I enjoy the people on this board and think of many as friends.

I don't know who you're talking about, but yes people can be banned and several people have been banned.

And how do you guys discern who came back with a different name?? I need to get better internet game. I do remember Disneymama something who was going on another trip after the first one because her mom and brother ruined the first one, but didn't work and was using I THINK disability checks to fund the trips.

I've been looking for her on the "screaming kids" thread because she had said she was just going to let her kids run amuck in Disney and didn't care what anyone thought.

Yes, I try to remember people's names and things about them and their style of posting. Not to hold info against them, but just to *know* them.

There is one poster in particular who bothers me...she's very negative, very predictable and seems genuinely unhappy with life so she comes across as a misery loves company type of poster.

If the subject is a happy post, she is no where to be found on a thread. If it is one where you read the OP and think, "good gosh, they are looking for a beating". She's there, usually page one, kicking, lol. I hope her outlook on life gets better...she seems quite bitter.

I love the different personalities like Bicker and DawnCT--I enjoy *knowing* people in that way.

I recognize many of the posters on this board & after having been around for so long seem to know a lot about many of them, whether it be from a signature or what they've posted in their responses.

i seem to go in spurts on the boards. I'll post on a lot of different topics & then take a break for a while & just lurk. I used to never hang out on the Community Board when I first became a board member, but now that's where I spend most of my time. I find it a fun place to hang! (usually )

I never commented to her or got involved, but seriously. Sit back in my comfy desk chair, with the glow of the monitor, and enjoy the popcorn.

Anyway, found the new "hot issue" post. Can't believe it wenton as long as it did. When I read her OP on the thread, I knew immediately it was her...so much gave it away.

I actually follow know a lot of posters by their Signature. Mostly because when I'm browsing on my cell, I scroll over to read the posts, which blocks out the names entirely.

Some users, I just know by their sig, or see their name a lot but I don't really remember any particulars about them. Just know that they're regulars of the board.
Some users, I know who they are, their life, and whatever else they post on the boards. MinkyDog and LuvChefMic are two that come to mind.
Some users, I know a little better because I've met them through the bag swap and had some conversations.
Some users, I know exactly how they'll respond to something I say. Don't worry, I'm sure they know who they are.

And I guess I have my fair share of people who know my posts.

Darn you guys. I think I know of whom you speak, but haven't picked up on this latest "hot button" post or the new user name. Now I'm going to have to spend my morning trying to figure it out. GRRR!

I just have to add that a lot of the names popping up on this thread are ones I recognize: Sandra, Powell, Dawn, Scurvey, Feralpeg and more... I'm horrible at naming names and could only think of a couple off the top of my head at the start of this, but I recognize the ones I've been seeing since.
Oh, and am I the only one who remembers and would get a chuckle out of the "Think of the Kitties" sig (had a pix of the cat with a tissue). I haven't seen that in a while.
I was always afraid I'd get called out for my overuse of commas, semicolons and apostrophes...
