Do you pay attebtiont to peropls user names and remember their pots?

There are a few that I take note of, but not many. Usually the only ones that stand out for me on the community board are a couple who I thought were snotty to me a time or two.

Or there are a couple over on the resorts board that I recognize because they post a lot about a certain resort (like Katmark, who is a CSR fan, and she posts a lot of good and useful info about that resort in particular, and she's always nice).

I definitely recognize posters by their pictures. I appreciate it when they keep them the same, like DawnCT. But I personally like to change mine up so I'm not helping anyone. :lmao:

I tend to remember posters more if they are nice to me, rather than those I disagree or argue with. I just don't hold anything against anyone.

Every once in a while I'll remember a poster I haven't seen in a while. Like RickinNYC or AllyandJack or ChrisandSteph (I hope I got those right!). Wonder what those guys and gals are up to?

I remember posters by their sig pics too. I don't post often but read just about every day. There are some threads that I know certain people will respond to before even opening.

Problem with me is I am behind a firewall at work, so only a few things get by in signatures..other stuff is blocked for me, so when I DIS at home, I get confused sometimes as more stuff shows up..

I usually go by avatar...but some ppl have the same one, so that can cause confusion...sometimes I recognize tags..LOL..

I was going to change my avatar pic, but I have had it so long..I decided to keep it...if anyone "knows" me...:confused3..but I have been around for many years FWIW

I recognize a few people!

Definitely people from "clique" threads I post in (Everything/Nothing), people whose trips reports I have read and sometimes people who post a lot about their personal lives. Display pictures and signatures that stay the same do help!

I have to admit, a lot of DIS posters seem to blend together to me and there are so many people and so many threads and responses I usually can't remember posters' histories and stories.

I have a tendency to remember the ones who annoy me repeatedly. I probably cannot recall any individual posts or stories.

Well - since everyone is talking about me - here I am.. LOL..

I remember certain posters by name; others I recognize by their style of posting; and unfortunately, some by their "attitude" (in which case I know who it is without even looking for the name:sad2:)..

As a rule, I don't pay much attention to signatures - unless something really jumps out at me - like a photo of a beautiful baby or adorable pet..:lovestruc

Yay! I always wondered if anybody remembered me or if I am just invisible! :cool1: Now I feel like an official Dis'er. ;)

Please don't think I'm strange, Dawn. I remember about your beloved dog who passed away last year. In fact, I was wondering recently how your new pup is adapting. I also remember you were looking to move to this area last year but changed your mind. I don't typically cling to people's opinions on various topics unless I find they are frequently in line with my own opinions or, perhaps, they have swayed my opinion. Therefore, I am less likely to remember opinions but can oftentimes remember interests or little factoids.

:thumbsup2 I even remember your bathroom is/was peach. :) Oh, and you hate your kitchen ceilings. Then there's the political stuff, but I won't go there...:)

ETA: That was directed to DawnCT1, btw. :)

Most of them I can only recognize whenever I glance over their post. Others I automatically know, like C.Ann, Liberty Belle, and FireDancer. :D

Oh goodness. I knew I've been spending too much time on here.

I guess I spend too much time reading too. I recognize/remember lots of posters by name and their "cyber" personalities. Even people who's opinions I may disagree with, I enjoy reading. My DH laughs at me for being on here, but I feel like I get a pulse on the real world, lol.

One night I couldn't sleep (well, that's more than one night), and I was trying to name all the usernames from here that I could.

There are certain people that I think I'd be good friends with IRL here.

Sometimes, when I'm at WDW, I look at a person and think, "I wonder if that's so and so" because that is what I picture them to look like.

:flower3:

Oh my goodness, I would never think that is strange. I am glad you remember Jude. I was referring to those that use the previous opinions that someone may have expressed on a subject as ammunition. I remember events and personal stories in posters' posts too. Conner is doing well. He really likes it here. He's still skinny but that is just his body type. He is such a hugger, very gentle. Loves everyone. Fortunately he has only had to leave once to "get married" and he was glad to come home.

Oh no! My bubble has been burst! My bathroom is pale green and I actually love my kitchen ceilings. The original ceiling is flat, but my DH and his late cousin built the room out toward the back and the addition has a cathedral ceiling with beams. It came out really, really nice (and it will always make me think of his late cousin who did a fabulous job on the design and taught DH so much). And, I am soooooo not political. I usually try really hard to avoid being controversial. :upsidedow

Dawn, I am glad to hear Conner is doing well. I could tell with Jude you were a very devoted, loving dog mom and I am sure you are for Conner, as well. Thank you for the update.

LOL I meant that as an agreement about what you said to Dawn and then added an aside for her, but now I will never forget your pale green bathroom and lovely kitchen ceiling. :)

I do remember about a dozen or so....either because they're unusually kind and tactful, or just the opposite. Either way, they stick in my mind.

Me too..and those that give out lots of family personal info, or have an over abundance of drama usually stick in my mind, although not in a good way LOL.

I remember the funny posters, and then I know when not to be dising & drinking-Water out the nose hurts.

OH But I Remember YOU. :scared1:

Pakey, didn't you do a trip report with Flat Stanley? It was the funniest thing I've read here. If it wasn't you, my stalker abilities are waning! :lmao:
