I pack WAY less clothing because I know I will have a washer/dryer. Even if I am staying in a studio, I know there is a free W/D in the building. Most of the time, I have a 1 or 2BR villa. I bring my own laundry detergent and fabric sheets if I remember - it makes it easier and the little boxes are expensive especially considering they aren't my regular brand!!!
I'm leaving Sunday for a week at WDW. I'll pack two "nice" outfits - capri pants and a top. One "nice" colder weather outfit - black pants and a top with long sleeves. Three or four T-shirts and a couple of pairs of shorts. Then regular underwear and socks - I do like to have extras of those in case I forget to put them in the dryer the night before!! A couple of nightgowns, a bathing suit, and an extra pair of shoes - one casual and one tennis shoes. That and the basic toiletries are all I take. Oh, and my Mickey Mouse sweatshirt/jacket - I only wear it at WDW, but it's the perfect weight for a cool but not cold night.
I'll have 2 14 year old girls with me, so we will generate enough laundry to do a load every night. If I gather all the dirty clothes when we change for bed I can wash them and usually get them in the dryer before I fall asleep. If not, I'll do it first thing in the morning. I LOVE the W/D -- it (and the big tub) makes things so much easier!!!
