It's me again.... The Newbie...
I have been reading how some people own multiple DVC interests. For example, one 250 point and a second 150 point OKW interest. How would these work together when booking a vacation that requires 400 points? Will Disney Reservations automatically "link" the two ownerships together into a single 400 point interest, or do you have to transfer points between the two interests as needed...
I ask this because I'm just not sure how many points I need... My problem is that I would get maximum use out of the DVC if I traveled during high season - typically Spring Break. I refuse to take my kids out of school (once they get to school age) for a vacation and have no desire to travel to Florida during the summer (too hot for me!). So, that leaves me shopping for interests in the 400+ point range.
Luckly, right now my kids are not in school, so a week at WDW in February suits us fine! As a matter of fact, I'd prefer it! However, in 5 years, as I mentioned earlier, February won't be an option for us. I'm wondering if I could buy a 250-280 point interest now, and purchase a second 150-200 point interest 4-5 years from now when I'll really need it.
If I purchase a second package, I will be sure to purchase it in the same home resort as the first. Also, if anybody has a link they can post detailing what is involved in purchasing additional points from Disney, I'd be greatful.
Just looking for some more advice.... Thanks to EVERYBODY for answering my questions fom previous posts.... All of you have been great!
