I was wondering does anyone know if you need tickets to get into DTD? We have never been there, but I did not want to use a day of ticket use. Also, I know there are separate areas. Will I be able to get to Earl of Sandwich, and some other food places without a ticket?

No, you do not need a ticket. You can go to DTD without visiting WDW. My husband's soccer team does when they have tournaments in Orlando.

The Earl of Sandwich is in the Marketplace and there is no ticket required. The only thing that requires admission at DTD is PI after a certain hour in the evening if you are going into the clubs. Otherwise, all free.

Actually, there is one more thing there that requires admission - DisneyQuest. It's the 5-story indoor arcade - very cool, I might add. Otherwise, DTD is like a really neat, outdoor shopping/dining area. Check out the Lego store and the Ghirardelli soda fountain! ::MinnieMo

Thanks, we were thinking of doing Disney Quest this trip. I definitely will try Ghirardelli soda shop!!

Ghiradelli, yum my favorite. :teeth: Actually if your get to the marketplace early you can walk thru Pleasure Island without having to pay. They have some shops in there too! I think it's 7pm when they charge for PI.

You don't need a ticket, but you need MONEY ;) . It's impossible to go through all the stores without spending a leg and an arm.

No tickets needed for DTD....DH and I usually go to DTD the first night at Disney and on our way out.....awesome Disney gift shop!!! :cheer2:
