We are looking to rent a house at Windsor Hills for a family trip July 10-17, 2010 and I wanted to know if you need pool heat for the house pool? We have never rented a house before. I know it is hot outside in July but what about the house pool. We need to pay for the heat when we make the downpayment so I need to know before I book it. The pool faces south southwest the website says. They also said there is a pool blanket to keep the heat in. So do we need heat for July?

Thanks.

I haven't rented in July before but have other times of the year. From owners and those that have rented in the summer, everyone says that you definitely don't need to have the pool heated. And because it's south facing the water should be warm and stay warm, probably warmer than you'll want it. We did have a splash pool in Sept that was heated and we had to have it turned down cause the air was so hot we needed to cool off in the pool not have it the same temp as the air.

You should not need pool heat in July and you also should not need to use the pool blanket then (winter time yes, but not July). If the home has a spa and you want the spa heated, then consider that.

No, you don't need pool heat in July. The water would be warm enough without the heat. If you live up north, the water here would be very warm to you. I like my pool water like bath water & it July I don't use my heat.
