Do you need a reservation for Beaches and Cream and BC?

I've heard that this is an extremely popular place to eat and we were thinking of skipping over to it on one of out Epcot days. I seem to remember that, even though it's not one of the more expensive places to eat, it's one where you have to fight to get a reservation. Correct? Is it quick service or table service? Is it worth it?

Breakfast and Lunch are Quick Service and Dinner is Table Service. But yes, you need an ADR any time of day. It is still very hard to get.

As for worth it, I definitely think dinner is worth it. We've dined there several times and it's one of our favorite restaurants in Disney. Last week I had the pork tenderloin and it was absolutely delicious and melt in your mouth tender. Their rolls are some of my favorite as well.

You're talking about Be Our Guest. The OP asked about Beaches & Cream. Which doesn't have breakfast OR pork tenderloin.

OP, yes, you need an ADR for Beaches and Cream.

Also, do they have gluten free bread options?

Beaches & Cream? According to the allergy-free menu I found they do offer burgers on gluten-free buns. But no dedicated fryer, so no fries. :(

Beaches & Cream does require an ADR. It's hard to get because the place is so small. There is an ice cream window with limited ice cream and sundaes that is QS, but no food.

The one time we went to Beaches and Cream (with an ADR) they were taking walk ups, but for the counter seats only. I don't know if that is a normal process or not.

And, as ever, the answer to "worth it" depends on the value you assign "it."

Is it a good use of a Disney Dining Plan TS credit? Nope. Is it one of the less expensive cash-pay restaurants at Disney? Yes. Is the food pretty basic but pretty decent? Yep. The ice cream is standard stuff, although the assembled creations are interesting -- don't expect high-end creamery ice cream.

That sounds great. I don't have Celiac Disease, so I'm ok with the fries. I'm just sensitive to gluten and dairy, b/c they cause inflammation if I have too much of either. I can have a little, but if I have too much I
will be eating ibuprofen like candy.

I'm pretty sure if you order it with a GF bun they won't serve you the fries. You could do no bun (just say you don't like them) and fries. But once an allergy is mentioned they have to stick to that allergy protocol.

(Yes, I know from experience. I am allergic to peanuts, but it is ingestion only. I am fine with things prepared in the same area. But once they heard peanut allergy, everything had to be redone.)

Haha, yeah. "Worth it" is pretty relative. We will be paying out of pocket for this one b/c we are only doing the Quick service plan this time around(much to my chagrin). My parents will be coming for the second half of our trip and I wanted some place we would all like to eat. My husband is a very picky eater, but he likes sandwiches. Plus, I wanted to show my mom The Beach Club. It's a beautiful resort.

I wouldn't think so. I'm not allergic. They did this for me at Sci-Fi Drive In in May. I got fries with a gluten free bun. There are many people out there that choose to be gluten free as a personal preference. Most places I went in Disney they would ask "Allergy? Or preference?".

YMMV, but every experience I've had once you go into the allergy menu territory (which you have to do to know what is gluten-free) that's it.

And Sci-Fi has a dedicated fryer, so odds are you got allergy fries anyway.

Ha I replied to the wrong post. Oops.
