Do you need a reservation for Beaches and Cream and BC?

You might get lucky with walk up, if you are trying for an off time. Otherwise, I would get an ADR if you are planning for anything close to a popular time.

If you ,are not on the ddp, you can also head to the fountain at the dolphin. Very similar, never had a bad meal

They have both soft serve and hard scoop ice cream

One sundae has a slice of apple pie, vanilla soft serve and caramel. Heaven!

They also have a big option like the kitchen sink

If you do eat at b&c, consider sharing a burger and getting ice cream. Both is too much for me but splitting food makes it perfect

Tip - if it rains you have a great chance of getting in as a walk up. We were there in June during a week that had more rain that usual for FL in June (the typical 3:00 rain lasted all afternoon and all night). I had tried to get an ADR for Beaches and Cream with no luck. We were staying at Beach Club and didn't want to venture out because it was raining so hard. So we decided to try see if we could get in Beaches and Cream as a walk up. We were immediately seated in an almost completely empty restaurant. There were only two other tables occupied. We were shocked! Our CM told us that when it rains they tend to be empty because a lot of people with ADRs are coming from Epcot and when it pours many people decide to leave the parks or don't feel like walking all the way over to their Beaches and Cream ADR. While we enjoyed it, I have to agree that it isn't someplace I would walk a long way in the rain for.

They've always taken us at B&C as a walk-up, albeit sometimes with a literal 2 hour wait. However, we spend at least half of every day at SAB, so we just get on the list well before we're ready for lunch and it's worked out well. Try the grilled cheese & tomato soup.

Yeah, thanks a lot. :P We mistakenly took this advice two trips ago and now we're hooked on yet one more junk food place. Just what I needed! :upsidedow "Unfortunately" the Fountain is EXCELLENT; it's really a lot better than the already-pretty-good Edys they serve at Disney owned locations. I think the Dis is now responsible for about 10 lbs of body weight and at least a year off my life.
