Yay!!!! You're ready to board now!

I probably should check in for our flight. That might be a good idea.

Gotta love a ticker that functions properly!

Your Cinderella is going to fall off the end of your ticker.

Kinda like that yodel guy used to do with Bob Barker on the Price is Right.

We just left Little Rock and visiting Paxton. Truthfully, she looked better than I expected her to look. She's a little puffy and on lots of medication.

But...Paxton was sometimes alert and responsive. She perked up when she knew Katie was there. We brought her two stuffed animals that we picked up in Texarkana.

We are going to get her a couple of things while we're at Disney. We'll get her mouse ears with her name embroidered, which she somehow didn't get on her Make-A-Wish trip. She wants a light-up cup from Rainforest Cafe, and some WDW napkins for one of her scrapbook pages.

We can tell when Paxton is feeling ok because her attitude returns. For example, Katie asked her what she wants from Disney World, to which Paxton replied "I have no stinkin' clue."

She talked alot about Florida and the MAW trip while we were there.

The priest also stopped by and did the anointing of the sick ritual. I am not catholic, so I didn't really understand this, but I'm pretty sure it was entirely different from last rites, which is a good sign.

They are giving Paxton a series of shots to try to help her somehow. It is all way too complicated for me to understand, but we are hoping that the combination of the shots and Katie's visit will help her out.

We will probably stop back by next week on our way home.

Glad you and Katie got to visit with Paxton.

Annointing of the Sick is entirely different from Last Rites. So it is a good sign :thumbsup2

I hope Paxton is feeling well soon and able to be at home with her family.

MAW is such an amazing organization. That little bit of magic they provide for some many sick children is wonderful. It's trips and experiences that the rest of us take for granted.

I used to volunteer for MAW when I lived in Memphis. I started as a wishgranter and also did lots of event planning (bachelor auction with Fabio, celebrity golf tournaments, r&b parties, etc.). I love that organization and its mission. Because I took Katie with me to wish-grantings, she completely understands all of it and how lucky she is.

Mad Libs are not as exciting as they were when we were 7 years old. Caitlin and I are quickly determining this. Pretty "lame" (as Daisy would say).

Next trip, I have to come up with some better travel activities for the girls.

I meant to say thanks for this information. Confirms what I thought. And thanks for the well-wishes for Paxton.

Oooh mad Libs -- I used to love to do these with my family...guess I was lame b/c we did them all through our teen years too!:rotfl:

"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow, you're only a day away..."

That stinks. I guess childhood games aren't as fun when you're all grown up.:sad2:

I dunno...we did Mad Libs at my bachelorette party! That was just a teensy bit different than when we were kids! :lmao:

I think you have to be in the right mood to do Mad Libs - gotta stick in really weird stuff. It probably helps to be punchy from lack of sleep...

(I'm trying to finish up that last bit of work before we can go on our own trip! Eeks! Doing too much procrastinating, too - it's a really nasty bit of the project with lots of technical crap.)

Could you take any more unflattering pictures?:sad2:

I must remind everyone that I was sitting in the far rear of the truck with my knees up to my bosom, Harry's head on my belly and Magic's butt on my arm for many hours. And I won't even try to describe the contortions I had to go through just to get out of the car when we made pit stops. By the time I got out of the truck and untwisted my body, I didn't even feel "the urge to go.":lmao:

I hope everyone made it to Memphis safely!

Or what in the world will happen next?
At about 10:30 P.M. tonight Susan called to say that they were just then leaving Jackson.
Apparently while they were at the kennel they noticed a change in Magic. Susan can update you with the accurate information.
Anyway, as I write this Magic is in emergency surgery at the vet's for a twisted stomach.
I don't know the details, facts, etc. I'll just share that Susan said that the vet was pessimistic.
So please add Susan and her family and especially Magic to your prayers.

glad the visit went well and she knew were all there.

live updates are fun.

OMG!!!! That's so terrible. Poor Magic. :sad2:

I hope Magic's surgery is successful and she's feeling better soon.

Magic is in my prayers.
