Yes, we generally disappear from January 2 to April 15 or (in my case) later. Once tax season ends, conference season (and the travel) starts.

Thank you, their burgers are awesome too...can she get me one of them? I saw my CPA friend last night for the first time since Christmas! I told her about your awesome Casino night. She was SOOO jealous!

I think even Walt Disney would be jealous of all the hoopla and partying you have been doing. Katie's cheese cake looks so yummy. It's a good preview for the food and presentation that you all will get in WDW.

I am so glad that Katie and her car are ok. She just needs to get a hang of watching out for other people. That's the scariest part of driving. It's not about what you do and what you are doing, it's more about being able to adjust to what everyone else on the road is doing.

My part of the story here is that Katie called me first (and again later) and was such a wreck that it was hard for me to determine whether she had been in a wreck or a bad argument with Tate.

You see, Katie will call me in "emotional emergencies" and I don't mind at all. I'm just grateful that she feels she can "come to me" with her problems. She knows that she can talk to me and if she wants me to keep the conversation strictly between the two of us, I will. I think that it is essential that kids have an adult they can confide in and I'm glad to be that adult in my grandkids' lives.

I'm Penelope... from SNL, ... yeah.... and I just want to say... that I knew about Katie's fender bender like last week.... yeah.... she called me first.... yeah... because, she is telepathic and she knew it was going to happen before it did...... and she called me.... first.... in fact..... she didn't even have to call me..... because she contacted me telepathically.... yeah.. she and I are like that..... we are really close..... closer than anyone else.... we are like twins.... yeah.... she and I are like one...... she loves me most.... yeah.... she .... tells me all her fears and problems... because she trust me.... yeah.... I am her best friend... best friend ever.... yeah.... we talk all the time... even in our heads, where no one else can hear... yeah.. in fact... I am katie.... yeah...

I know how you feel. This is my first year planning my trips at 11 months due to being a DVC member and besides the waiting driving me crazy, I also found that I planned everything so quickly that I will have months with nothing to do before the trips.

Alright, I just watched last night's DWTS on Tivo. Anyone else watching this? I have one thing to say: Shannon Elizabeth's legs NEVER END!! Even to the point that they seem to make her look awkward dancing. Not sure what I'd rather have - those legs, or the ability to dance.

After tonight's private dancing lesson - where Taletha is working with me on "body rolls" - I am leaning towards taking the legs....

I do watch that show!
Religiously, with Mama, every week.
Well in fact, now, we record it (it's like Tivo, except it's on my LG DVD/hard disc recorder) on Monday and watch it while we record the Tuesday part... and then start watching Tuesday's result show while it continues recording... we usually finish watching it about 30min. after it really ends. This way we can skip all the commercials. (boy does that show has commercials! ).

It is true, that girl has trouble with knee flexibility! But she's not bad for all the rest, I think the judges have been a little harsh on her.
Being a figure skating fan, I must say I'm pretty happy to see how Kristi (Kristy?) is turning out! And I really love her partner, Mark. He's really good. He should've gone much further last year with Sabrina...
As for that, I'm quite happy, it seems "America" is getting it right this year... voting the right people off... maybe some should've left before some others, but overall it's just right. I mean, there weren't any dancers who left that were very good, or way better than those who stayed, KWIM? I hope it will stay that way... I have been very disappointed in the past.

You shouldn't get me started on either dance or dance shows , 'cause I could go on for a while!
I danced for about 15 years (not ballroom though) before having to stop because my body let me down, and it was a while before I could watch dance again (too painful). Now I can't have enough! I love that there is finally some dance on TV, and I just hope there isn't too much... if there is too much, people will get fed up and there won't be anymore, until a looong while...

I can't wait for the start of SYTYCD (very happy it doesn't start until we get back!), and we were extatic to learn there will be a canadian version as well! (if only I could still dance...! )The auditions are going on right now, and it should air in the fall! (should've heard us scream when we saw the first commercial! )

Heck, I'm more prepared and informed than Mama, who has been to WDW about 30 years ago!
1) she doesn't remember much
2) it changed so much since then!

How do you feel?
Extatic, panicky, excited, elated, dreamy, full of joy, a little teary-eyed too...
And about a 1000 more emotions all bouncing through your heart at the same time!

I'm sure both girls will have a truly magical time!

I know what you mean. I had a lull in planning between the 180 adr mark until about 3 months out when I perked up and started planning again. I wasn't doing a pre-trip then though so I had no Disney freaks like me to keep me excited about the trip.

It's called spacing out the planning!! A little bit here, a little bit there...

As a PP stated, now that we own DVC, we try to/have to plan about a year or more in advance so we know what we want to do at the 11 month mark to make our reservations. Then it's quiet until the 7 month mark when we can switch resorts.

I'm down to 1 week banana: ) but now saying to myself, where did all the time go? Why didn't I pack months ago??

Forgot to say, this made me smile sadly (as I peek in on my nearly 3 year old sleeping in her toddler bed...) What a great family and what great folks you are to give your family this wonderful gift! I know you will treasure this vacation like no other.
