"Do You Mind?" - Disney Adventures with Teens August Trip Report

Bob is very cute! :lmao:
I think so too. He's about the size of an egg. When you touch him, he beeps and starts changing colors and stuff. He only cost $12.50 with a purchase.

I wouldn't have been able to resist Bob and his antics either! I am sure he will be a wonderful travel companion!
Isn't he a cutie? He told me that he will be ready to wake us up in case Stitch and Mickey forget to.

I hope you get the seats you want.

I miss Sunday nights with Bret. Do you think they'll be a Rock of Love 3?
I have to decide what seats I want first. Normally, on Southwest, I sit in the back of the plane because I check luggage and I don't mind waiting for others to deplane. I figure it's either wait in the back of the plane, or wait down at baggage claim, so I don't mind.

However, I am thinking this time we will be rarin' to go and wanting to deplane as quickly as possible and jump on that ME. Since we don't have to worry about baggage claim, there's no sense waiting on the plane, huh?

So that is my long story saying that I am going to try to get us 5 seats close to the front.

I too miss Rock of Love. I think they will do another one if Ambre doesn't work out. I Tivo "Don't Forget the Lyrics" and we watched it last night. Guess what?? It was our friend Bret! It was fun to watch him. But he said NOTHING about Rock of Love or about Ambre.

I miss our Sunday night Bret Bashing! :lmao:
Me too. I miss the show. I was at Target (or Wal Mart?) today and saw that they have the whole first season of Rock of Love for sale. For a fleeting moment, I considered buying it. But then I thought - now why would I want to see all that AGAIN???

I don't know how I missed your update:confused3 Anyway, I LOVE the luggage tags...too cute! Bob will be a blessing! Glad you are home from San Fran safely:thumbsup2 Poor Katie, I am sorry her plan for her party didn't fully come to fruition.:sad2:

:lmao: :lmao: No, I don't think I could sit through any of it more than once.

Thanks - I think the stuff is cute too. As for Katie, she's no worse for the wear. I think she was just overwhelmed with all the planning and then all the activity the night of the party. I think we had 20-30 kids here.

I know, right!:rotfl:

Mom bought a Bob and some talking luggage tags too. I will let her tell you about them.

I think Mom's Bob needs a different name. I don't want to see the two of them have identity crises!

Well, my "new friend" is PINK and her name is Bobette.

My luggage tags say "Who are you calling an old bag?", "I :lovestruc baggage handlers." and "Warning! dirty laundry."

No other news from these parts. Just busy packing for my flight to Austin tomorrow morning and getting ready to take my cat, Indy, to Jackson (the kennel). I may make a stop at the nursing home to see "Grandma Shelby" while I'm there. That depends on whether Haley rides up there with me. If she does, Jo doesn't want me to take her to the nursing home.

I'll report back later today.

They come in pink??? Well, I better go check them out then! :goodvibes

Have a safe trip to Austin!

90 Days!!!

I got our seat assignments for the outbound flight today. I wanted to get seats near the front, since we will be using ME and won't need to get our luggage. I am sure as soon as we are wheels down, we will want to run over to check in for ME and get to the hotel ASAP.

When I fly alone, I normally select a seat for myself that is near the back of the plane in a window. I like to look out all the time. I also like the window because if I want to sleep, it's more comfortable to have something to lean my head against.

I pick the back because I think people are crazy to rush off the airplane, only to wait for their luggage at baggage claim. I figure I'm going to be waiting somewhere, why not in the seated comfort of the plane? I just get annoyed by busy, rushed travelers who really aren't going to get anywhere any faster than I am.

Of course, if I'm not checking luggage, I go for the front of the plane, so I can get on with my day as soon as I land.

Anyway, when I logged on this morning to get our five seat assignments, I discovered that all of the seats near the front are reserved for elite members. I don't like to sit over the wing, because I like to see what's below. So I picked seats a few rows behind the wing on the right side.

I put Katie in the window and Caitlin next to her. I then put myself in the seat directly behind Katie, then Chris in the center and Mom on the aisle.

We're on the right side of the plane. I am hoping that we will be able to catch a glimpse of WDW out of the window, since we will be coming in from the Northwest direction.

Anyway, there's another milestone. Sorry for the book, but just explaining all my wacky reasoning. Mom is in the air as I type. When she gets here, she may want me to change the seat assignments a little.

I always like the aisle seat so I don't have to climb over anyone to get out.

Whoo hooo for 90 days!

How about Bobby or Bobbi if it's a little more feminine? :confused3
I guess she named her Bobbette!

They come in pink??? Well, I better go check them out then! :goodvibes
Bob comes in lots of colors:

I guess I just rarely get out. And I always cross my fingers that there won't be anyone in the middle seat.

Yay 90 days!

Yep. It was inevitable. I changed Mom's seat assignment. We decided that since Caitlin is afraid of flying, it would be much more comfortable for her to have Grandma Bonnie next to her than a random stranger. So here are our seats.

I didn't think the "people" in the seats were a very good representation of our fair princesses, Katie and Caitlin, so I put them in skirts and mouse ears and long brown hair. Aren't they cuties?

:cool1: Zip-a-dee-do-dah! I made it to Austin. I just LOVE this place!

I left Bobbette at home. I don't want to fatigue her before our Disney Trip. I want that trip to be her first.

But I did use one of my "talking" baggage tags. I used the "old bag" one. I don't check my bags if I don't have to, so I used the valet bag check. When the Austin "valet" was unloading the bags onto the "bridge", she read my tag and laughed.

On the way home from the airport we stopped to get groceries. As we walked the aisles a man in a tuxedo met us and handed Susan and me a beautiful long stem rose and said, "Happy Mother's Day!" Wasn't that a nice touch?

Katie was with us and while Susan and I were picking out fresh fruit and veggies and SBD meals, she was loading the cart with beverages. My gosh :scared1: I have never seen so many different things to drink other than in a bar. She had juice, tea, power beverages, colas, water, and milk. I loaded in my own mint tea and green tea and diet Dr. Pepper. Susan added her 'funny tasting' (to me) water and milk shakes. Somebody's eyeballs are going to be floatin'!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hurray for 90 Days!

Cracked me up that you put Mouse Ears on Katie and Caitlin in the plane diagram! :lmao:

Bob sure does come in a lot of colors! I really need to go check him out!

Too sweet about the man with the roses!

Susan and Grandma Bonnie, Happy Mother's Day! :goodvibes

How did I miss your report?
Well, I'm here now.
We are going at the same time aren't we?
Sept. 12 - 22 for us.
I'll try to catch up on all the fun I seem to have missed.:confused3
