A really cute shot out by the pool. Can you believe how gorgeous all of these girls are?

I got a dolphin (Katie's favorite animal) balloon to mark the mailbox at our driveway. We had trouble getting a shot from the side due to the wind. I like how he looks like he's going to jump over the sun (like the cow jumped over the moon).

Female bonding time as the girls wait for the boys. I thought this was neat how Mhairi and Vivian were silhouetted against the sunset next to the fire.

Jennah and Jen were looking cute in the pool. I like the contrast of the formal dress and the bikini. Poor Jen has a sunburn today. I asked her permission before taking the picture, and it turned out really cute.

Our gift to Tate is a Target gift card and what Tate refers to as "a whole jar of smiles". The card says on the outside "Guess What?" and inside: "Chicken Butt!"

This might be my last update for awhile. Tate's mom and friend just got here and I need to entertain my guests.

WOW, great idea for Katie's 16th. I am an only child "Katie" that grew up to be Kat...I have a very similar life to her....only child, step dad, dad that lives far away...we are spoiled, but apprecitive...we turn out ok...

It might take a miracle to get them to Austin by August, but that might just do it. I would say an Act of Congress, but that has already happened and they are having to use their stimulus act rebate for home repairs.

I also sent Katie a card with a "working" music chip in it and she told me today that it didn't work when she opened it. Does anyone know if the post office could have ruined the chip via the cancellation process? This upsets me, not because of the extra cost for a music chip, but because my granddaughter couldn't enjoy it.

I never saw the card. The Brewzoo's cards were really cute. Katie got them yesterday.

Joann would take a $10 bill to three different thrift stores and return home with a week's worth of outfits, a full lenghth hooded woolen coat, accessories, and.............CHANGE!

This is the same girl who, when she was a Winston Circuit model, left home each weekend with an empty suitcase and used her payroll to buy clothes. What a life!

Just wanted to say, you got me teary eyed with your very sentimental gift to Katie... It's a really beautiful thing, to have thought about it then (13 years ago) and to have hold on to it until now, never forgetting about it, not changing your mind...

I don't think being RAISED surrounded with such caring love can spoil you in the bad way. It makes you learn great values, IMHO.

Susan,i just wanted to stop by and say I hope your party went well last night and I hope Katie's party tonight is all that she dreamt it would be! She is a very lucky young lady! i can't wait to hear all about it when I get back!

Our party went very well. I will try to post a mini-review. Katie's party started off great and did not end with a bang. Maybe I'll post a summary. I hope you are enjoying your trip. I think you're on a plane right now! Or maybe you just landed at MCO.

I don't feel like I have slowed down one iota since tax season ended. Next week, I have a full review schedule, since I missed so much time this week due to party preparations.

The hair was perfect, and I love it that you let us see the "putting the ring on the chain" moment! It's a really special and intimate thing and tell Katie she's great to let us enjoy some of her special moments!

I passed the compliment on to Katie. They had a good time. I don't have many good pics of casino night, but I'll post a few later. Not many more good ones from last night either. It got dark.

Sure! I hear that our receptionist has her resume posted on Monster. Can you do that job? Or you could be an accountant for us. We also have appraisers. Just not sure what your quals are, but I'm sure we can find a spot for you. We do have an Atlanta office and they did have Casino Night on Friday as well. But they didn't have Foodheads, so I'm sure their food wasn't as good.
