Just Wondering... Do you MAKE your childrens Easter Baskets or do you buy them premade? I have been making DD5 since her first Easter, it is a traditon that my mom had for us and something I enjoy doing for my daughter. I love making it and the basket reflects her personality. I always manage to find myself over buying and her Easter basket is huge (Pink Wooden Basket that I use every year, from the Easter Bunny).

Are there any other moms out there like me?

I've always made my kids. Even down to decorating the basket with ribbons and flowers, something different every year. Thanks to Oriental Trading Co free shipping I was able to get a few things to start their baskets this year... was wondering how I was going to do it, being layed up and all after the accident.

I always do my kids baskets and my dog gets one to from the easter bunny. I don't buy much candy because they don't need it. They get lots of presents like sunglasses, sandals, bathingsuits, shorts, games, etc. I am only spending about $40 bucks per kids this year though.

Hi Anewvance... If I lived closer to you I would offer to help you with your running around. I love doing this for my daughter. My daughter and I even made little Easter Baskets for her preschool class this year. She can't wait to give them to her classmates and the joy of putting them together as a family was worth the little bit we spent. Nothing big and fancy, just something cute that she could pass out to her friends. They came out so cute!!!

I always make the sweetpea's basket. Every year its different from the year before. I already have gotten everything for her basket except for some candy. Its a hard baskest this year of lots of small baseballs. But all the goodies in it are "spa" things. Flip flops, pedicure sets, bath salts, lotions, bath pillows and etc. She'll love it. Thankful I only have one kid. Dont know how I would do it if I had more.

I always make it myself. As a matter of fact I went shopping today for everything, Walgreens had some great stuff on sale.

I make Paul's. The premade ones never have enough cool stuff in them. We also have a sort of cool tradition. We use the same basket from year to year, and each year, the Saturday night before Easter morning, he sets his basket out somewhere in the house. Then, during the night, the Easter Bunny stops by and fills it up. It's kind of like the way we do Chrismtas stockings.

I always make their baskets and even the ones that I give away. I don't like the ones that are already premade since they seem to have the very cheap toys that will break easily and sometimes the selections of snacks are not the best.

When the time comes and I have kids I will make their baskets.

My dh makes one for our dd every year. When she ws small I did it (we never got her premade ones) but since my dd and dh have very similar taste in candy (they both have a sweet tooth and LOVE candy, lol) my dh is just more equiped to make the all important candy decisions. I do add little things to the basket though. I'm wondering if we will ever stop making easter baskets for dd!

I always make their baskets and I don't always use baskets - one year it was open unbrellas for the baskets and then easter grass and little treats inside

I have always made DS's baskets as I like to pick and chose things that I know he will like. I think this year the Easter Bunny will be bringing less chocolate as we still have so much left from Valentine's Day!

I'Ve used New Laundry baskets, Suitcases, Make-up cases & Beachbuckets.

Make of course!!! :sunny:
The premade one usually have junky things in them.

I work for a chocolate company so I get things from there and make it myself...I add leaster apes, playstation 2 games (the bunny brought her a playstation2 two Easters ago), tickets to shows etc....

I use the same basket from PBK for DS every year. I enjoy picking things out for his basket. This year, I'm trying something new...I bought a pack of 6 large plastic eggs and plan on filling them with small toys. I thought it would be fun for DS to open the eggs. He'll get a little candy, of course, but not much. We always try to get him fun, summer things. :)

I always make them. But with a 13 year old son it is getting hard to come up with stuff to put in his basket. My girls are alot easier.

I make them. Its a lot of fun for me picking out just the right items for each kid. And sometimes I make one for dh too.

I make mine for my kids . They are 17 and 19 now and I still make them with thier favorite candy . I just changed what I put in the plastic eggs LOL now they only want cash and it has to be at least 5's LOL
