Do you make your bed while on vacation

Just curious how many people choose to make or not make the bed while on vacation since you don't get mousekeeping. I'm not sure what we will do if we get to be members. It is the current hot topic in our household right now. (Being members not the bedmaking)

I don't act any different on vacation than I do at home, everything neat and tidy, well almost. We are going with family this summer and although it will probably just about kill me, time with them exploring WDW is #1 priority! So, if anyone checks my room, it may be a mess, a little.

I make my bed everyday, but it has nothing to do with my mother. I keep the room picked up all the time, with even my personal items put away. (I love to walk in the room and have it looking like I just checked in.)

On the other hand: when DD goes to WDW with a friend, no beds are made. (They don't even fold up the couch!) To each their own!

It's pretty funny but I make the bed at WDW, but I don't make it every day at home. The joy of living in a colonial!!

The minute my feet hit the floor, my bed is made when I'm at home here or at DVC. If DBF is in the bed, the minute his feet hit the floor, I make it. Unless it's the day housekeepin comes in....then I just leave it.

Interestingly, I rarely make it at home, but made it everyday at OKW since there was no maid service and the room looked lots better with it made up.

We usually end up making the bed everyday anyhow b/c the bottom sheet always seems to be in need of fixing in the morning...it would be totally awsome if they had a fitted sheet for the bottom one!

I don't make my bed at home, why would I on vacation?

(yes I agree, thank goodness for upstairs bedrooms).....

DVCGirl49, we took a fitted sheet last year. DW and I both used to end up sleeping on the mattress, after the sheet got wadded up under us. Plus it's alot nicer than the old starchy sheets they have on the beds. We don't "make" the bed, we will usually pull the covers up so it looks decent.

I also make bed as soon as my feet hit floor and do the samething with my children's beds. Sometimes I argue with my dd because she likes to lounge around in/and out of her bed on week-ends or off school days. I always tidy up and clean-up even on vacation. I just don't like clutter and messiness but that's just me (and of course my kids couldn't care less).

I checked yes, but it is my DW who ALWAYS has the bed made before we leave the room. My DW has been in the hospital since last Monday, and the bed has not been made since she left. I know, I'm a bad boy, but I am keeping up with the dishes!!!

Absolutely. My wife and I make it in our bed every day while we're on vacation. That's what vacations are for!

I am an early riser so I usually make the bed while my husband is in the shower. We really like to keep that room picked up. I think that I keep it cleaner than my house. But then again, it is a lot easier there than at home since the room starts off clean to begin with. I used to always make my bed at home every day. Now I have a job where I have to leave before my husband it out of bed and it rarely gets made.

I do not make my bed at home, but I do while at VWL.
Why????? Because I love the way the color of the comforter and pillows bring out the beauty of the room.

Oh my god, I just read what I wrote and it sounds sappy! Let me put that a tad more manly.....

After I'm done brushing my teeth with scotch, I demand the joint look good for my return. If the bed ain't maid, heads are gonna roll.....

We will sorta,kinda just straighten the covers,not make the bed, with one exception. My DW insists on making the bed on T&T day because she doesn't want housekeeping to think we are slobs.
