How often do you make your bed? I am a half the timer which is up from an occasional, I am shooting for most of the time.

I don't often get it made in the morning, but I can't stand sleeping in an unmade bed (with twisted sheets, etc.) so it usually gets made before I go to bed.

Yep. Ever since we got that new bedroom set, I make my bed almost as soon as I'm out of it in the morning.

Every morning after I take my shower. The only time I don't is if I'm sick (and then I plan on hopping right back in anyway.)

I hate an unmade bed. My ex worked nights and I worked days when we were married and I hated that the bed was never made.

I guess it's sort of a childhood thing. My mom would not let us leave the house until the bed was made. I guess it is just instilled in me. I think the room looks so messy with an unmade bed. My kids have to make their beds every morning before school. :thumbsup2

The only time I ever make my bed is when I'm having company over who's likely to take a peek into the bedroom. Occasionally if I'm doing a major house cleaning, I'll also decide to make the bed just so it looks nicer.

I'm just going to mess it up again when I go to bed each night, so it just seems like a waste of time to me.

Can't stand an unmade bed. Everything seems messy if the bed is not made. I even have dh "trained" if he is the last one up, he makes it. :thumbsup2

This is me, exactly. Plus, my bedroom is upstairs. Once I am out of my room in the morning, I hardly go back into my room until it's time to flop into the bed. Who wants to waste time pulling all the covers back, when I can just fall right into it? :rotfl2:

I'm pretty much the same way even though all I need to do is arrange the pillows and duvet cover. Oh well- it is enough trying to get me, DH and DS out of the house by 6:10am than to get the bed made during the week.

I try to make my bed every day. My mom was a stickler about an unmade bed so I guess I learned from her :)

Daily.

I don't do the military corners though.

Simply straigten out the sheet and comforters--Ihave a nice comforter where you won't notice minor lumps as stuff.

Just pull it neat and pretty--voila a made bed. I do this in about 30 seconds.

I hate flylady--really trying to work with here and it is amazing that the tasks that seem to take too much time really take no time at all. (like that crazy dishwasher--can be unloaded in about 3-5 minutes).

I'm like this too. Every now and then I get a wild hair and will just do it. The only time when I make it, is when I am changing the bed linens.

EVERY day!
I have myself convinced that my housework is done if my bed is made!!! :lmao:

OH and I must vacuum every day too! The rest of the house is a mess...but the rug looks vacuumed with those pretty 'lines' from the vacuum cleaner on it and the bed is made so then I can go out and play!!!!!

Used to make it every day, now I at least make most of my side. DH works odd shifts and is often in bed when I leave or gets in bed after I leave. And he NEVER makes the bed!

Most of the time. It's a new habit too. I used to never make the bed. But now we have a nice bedspread set and and it really makes the room look so much nicer so I really try to do it everyday. Sometimes I'm in too much of a hurry to do it and sometimes my cat is laying on it. And she'll be there all day. :rotfl:

Certain things I have to do every day - make the beds, vaccum and no dishes in the sink - ever!

Even my girls (7 and 8) know they have to make their beds before they leave for school - I still make ds' (5).

I make mine every single morning. It is just part of my daily morning routine so I don't even have to think about it. Gets the morning off to a good start so I have more time to play on DIS later! :)
