Do You like your DELL Laptop??

Hey everyone--

I am finally getting a laptop. But- I have no idea what I am looking for- sure I can just stop by Best Buy and get some advice from some kid working there- NOT! I am trying to do some research on PC World, but I have a bit of ADD and there is so much to choose from for so many needs!

DH wants me to get a DELL- But why am I so deadset against it??

I basically need the laptop for the internet- no graphics at all- like to download pics alot though. (need to find my Mr Depp pics and post them in my siggy ) anywho--

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505. I LOVE it....I got it on QVC.

I have always had Dell and have always been very happy. It is the only computer my company buys.

My DH, and 2 DDs all have Dell laptops and love them. Never a problem. (knock wood, LOL)

I need someone to actually speak with someone and tell them what I want- I would like to look at the laptops etc- I think I might head over to Comp USA today and see what they have.

Can I suggest visiting ww.dell.com? You can build your laptop there.

We have had no problems with the two we have nor our Dell desktop. Now the HP we had before ...

I love that you can customize and only pay for what you need.

Went on the DELL site- I am looking at their notebooks and if I understand correctly- they have 2 types- the digital entertainment and the high proformance--

I am not into gaming, movies etc- I work from home and would like to use the internet for, of course, the DIS but also to connect to my remote desktop and work anywhere- I need it to be quick.

I will take my time and check out the site.

I've had a Dell M600 for two years now. Even dropped it once on concrete which cracked the outter lid, but still chugging along.

I am on the phone right now with DELL- They are very helpful and I will most likely be purchasing one!

It is much easier with someone helping me on the phone!

I may be wrong, but I believe they have basically 2 types of laptop. The inspiron line and the latitude line. I have a latitude D610. I think the latitude line is geared to the business world and the inspiron line is more for the private user. I'm not real sure what the difference is.

They do seem to have eliminated their "basic" line which has raised base prices. Hmm.

My brother works for Intel and helped me purchase my Dell laptop. It was so easy. He went to the site with me and helped me build it. I love my Dell! I got DH a Dell for Christmas. My brother has a Dell, but really likes his Mac too.

I got the Inspirion E1505 with some upgrades- and free shipping and handling!
