Do you like your birthstone?

March here-aquamarine, I love my birthstone. My DS 17 is diamond, my DS 11 is sapphire and my DD 4 is diamond, I love my mother's ring. DH's is garnet, I think it is really beautiful also. I love peridots, send them my way.

December baby. I don't like the December birthstone(s)--blue zircon and turquoise. Turquoise is better, but I don't like to wear it. So I "picked" my own birthstone--citrine.

I am not overly fond of mine, topaz or it's now called citrine. Yeah, yellow, my least favorite color. Much to bright and happy for me thanks. And, hey, as an added bonus DD shares my birthstone. On the color scale of stones, DH's is my third fav color..peridot. (Worse would be whatever pink is.) Hooray, pale green. And as the bonus feature there, DS shares the same birthstone. If I ever wanted a "family/mother" piece of jewelry, it'd be nasty. Pastel-y green and yellow or brown, repeating. Blaurgh. In fairness, I should also mention, I'm a slightly pale, ravenhaired, blue eyed women on who those colors look sickly. Especially combined.

I like my peridot, too. My kids have the pale ones, though, aquamarine and diamond. Doesn't make for a colorful mother's ring.

My birthday is March 27th and the birthstone is aquamarine. I'm not crazy about aquamarine.

Mine is too and I love it! I think thats why blue is one of my favorite colors!

Peridot haters of the world unite!

I spent 44 years of my life not even knowing how to pronounce the darn thing. I thought it was PAIR-A-DOT when it's actually PAIR-A-DOE. Who knew? Thanks HSN or QVC for the correct pronunciation.

I'm a tanzanite and emerald lover. Oh, well.

How do you know your diamonds (if you can even afford them) did not come from a child slave labor camp? There are some terrorists cutting off little kids' arms to force them to work in the mines.

How can they work if they don't have arms? I picture a bunch of children with stubs for arms knawing at the mine walls with their teeth to get the diamonds out. Wouldn't diamonds that come from these kind of labor camps would be worth considerably more, considering the constraints? Does anyone have pictures of this?

Topaz - yuck!

Now my kids are great, especially together. My hubby bought me a mother's ring and it's perfect for Christmas - April, July, August or diamond, ruby, green (can't remember the Aug stone name).

I love my birthstone, amethyst. I wear purple quite a bit. Only all my rings were bought as anniversary rings and I don't wear them anymore. I need to buy a new one.

Kelsea is garnet and she doesn't like it. She asked me if she could just not wear it. I said, why not, she chose amethyst as her stone.

Brittany is blue zircon or topaz. She likes hers.

I have a necklace that was supposed to be a mother's necklace, but my ex put his birthstone in it too. He had it designed by a friend of his. That friend moved to hawaii or I'd have her change it for me.

I'm an April baby, barely! My Birthday is April 1st (April Fool's Day). I was due March 30, but Mom said I held out the extra days for the better birthstone Diamonds are definately my best friend!

Mine is Emerald, and it's okay! I actually really like amythest and ruby. I inherited a really gorgeous pair of ruby earings that I love!

Mine is Peridot and I love it. I've always loved it. I think it's such a pretty colour - delicate, and it reminds me of spring.

My aunt's is Topaz and she hates the yellow colour, so she just wears the blue topaz.

I am an April baby, and I love it! DH has been very good about getting me lots of *bling* since we've been married. Sadly, those days are over. Having a baby just doesn't allow for those kinds of gifts anymore.
