I'm a January baby. Garnet is ok, but I wish I was an April baby. BLING!!

No you would not. It has no color. Boring! Big deal......my engagement ring is my birthstone.

Mine's also peridot and I positively hate it. My DH's is ruby and one of my DD's is diamonds, so to help them celebrate their birthdays, I willingly wear rubies and diamond (but it's really only to make them feel special, really, I mean, I'm being totally unselfish and only do it to show how special I think their birth months are....yeah, right).

My other DD's is opal, a beautiful stone, but so soft, hard to wear every day.

I hate Peridot too so I just pretend my birthday is in September because I love Sapphires!!

peridot, hate it. I adopted amethyst which is my half birthday.

I spent 44 years of my life not even knowing how to pronounce the darn thing. I thought it was PAIR-A-DOT when it's actually PAIR-A-DOE. Who knew? Thanks HSN or QVC for the correct pronunciation.

I'm a tanzanite and emerald lover. Oh, well.

My half birthday would be a ruby, which is just a pale imitation of a garnet.

Ruby is my birthstone, and DH keeps trying to pacify me with a tired old garnet since the real thing (rubies) cost so much .

Where do you think some of the best amythests come from???? I am a diamond girl. My mother was really lucky. Both of her kids were born in April so her mother's ring was ANY ring with two diamonds in it.

LOL! I had a pin made with our family birthstones. Nice to have diamond, amethyst, diamond. DH and DS are both April babies.

December here.... it's okay. I LOVE peridot!! When all of you Peridot haters get them as gifts.... send them my way!

My Mom had a family ring made and the jeweler commented on how nice it is. My dd and I are December so those 2 stones are on the outside, moving in my dh and my Mom are April so diamonds are next and my ds is aquamarine so his stone is in the middle. It is a gorgeous ring! The jeweler told her that family rings are almost NEVER that coordinated!

November baby here and I love the yellow topaz. I have a pair of earrings and a necklace to match my birthstone from when I was little. I always got lots of compliments on it.

Ruby & I love it. Not so keen on the Garnet, but I do love the deep red rubies. I'm glad I've got a nice birthstone. Don't care for some of them at all.
