My dd has been on a Monopoly kick for about a year now. I don't mind playing, but I usually set a time limit. Dd will play all day and all night. She even sets up games to play by herself and she uses most of the tokens on these solo games! She can entertain herself with a Monopoly board for hours. Hours! I wish her friends would play the game with her, but no one else seems to like it except for her.

ETA: We have the classic version, which is the game I saved from my childhood. And we have the Disney version. I love the Disney version!

Our family love monopoly so much that we thought the game was to short. My DH made a five side monopoly board but changed alot of thinks. We have a lottery and all the monopolys are movies. He replaced boardwalk and parkplace with Casablanca and Gone With the Wind and so on. We are suppose to call it Movie Mougal. We love it.

I hate the game and I made the mistake of buying the Disney version a few years ago. I thought it was cute, but never planned to open it until my oldest DD 6 found it in my closet and loves it. Of course i have to play it with her. That game is really boring.

I watched this funny(yet inappropriate) Dane Cook (a comdian) joke where he made fun of monopoly. It was on youtube.com just type in Dane Cook in the search box and click on "Dane Cook Monopoly". I don't know how easy it is to find but it is worth it once you do find it!

I love monoploy and my kids do too. If we don't finish playing in a day we'll write down where we were, who owned what and how much money we have and then continue the next day. LOL

I also have many different versions of it too. I love them!

I have a Love It/Hate it relationship with the game.....it is waaaaay to Cut throat in our house - people trying to bribe others for property, whose rules to follow - strict Monopoly or a variation like any bills get put on "no parking" and if you hit it you get the $$$, etc. So it really depends on WHO is going to play.
