I am driving myself nuts and figure I will seek advice. I have a magical deal for upcoming Poly stay. Typically I do my own adrs as I get up at 5:50 for work, but this time my window opens on a Sat because I am going on a Thurs instead of a Sun. The time I stayed CL, I let them do adr and it was fine, I just felt like I missed doing something...no chase :). Because of the deal, I am using a TA for the first time and would like to take advantage and turn adr over to her so I can sleep on my day off, but I can't shake the doubts. What if she doesn't try at 6? What if doesn't try my alternative days and just drops it after first fail?

I thought of getting up to do my three priorities, but then I might as well do them all. Once I am up, I am up. There is no going back to sleep. Am I over thinking or should I do it myself?

We used our TA for our trip (we leave Saturday). She was awesome, I emailed her a couple of days with the restaurants I wanted , a time frame and days that would be ok. She got everything I wanted and I got to sleep in and not have to worry about it. If she was unable to get something I wanted she kept trying until she got it.

I love what my TA does for me each time I book through her, they work very hard. But I like having control of my ADR's. I literally was on at 6am last Saturday and was done and got everything I needed in 15 minutes with no issues. I would have been even more nervous if I was relying on someone else to get everything I needed and at the times I needed them. Lots of people have their TA's do their ADRs and with great success, so it really is a personal preference.

I let my TA do my ADR's and she did great and that was on a Sunday. We emailed a few times with my list and my preferenes. She emailed around 7am with all my confirmations. There are two times that I would like to get a little differently and she continues to check for me.

I did this time because when my window opened I was on vacation in Vegas. I gave her a list of reservations and an approximate time for each and she nailed them on the head. The fun part was that it was a 22 day vacation so I got to make some of the later ones too and I've changed a bunch of them around a couple of times too. But it was so nice waking up in Vegas and getting an email that I already had a Be Our Guest reservation... I moved it two days later but I knew the pressure was off.

why not, make her/him work for that commission they get from disney. Any TA tells you they dont get commission they are lying. Then again id call my self and do it all and give the CM all ones on the survey except at the end id give a 2 thats magical. Ta in my mind are worthless, I used to work with them a lot when i worked for disney, they do none of the work and get all of the credit and money, im just a little bitter lol. but seriously im a independent person and would rather do all the leg work myself as its really not that hard

Making her work for the commission while I sleep is warring with my control issues lol. I sent her a list of places and times, but I can always change my mind and do it myself.

Has anyone had a "magical" deal agent do their adr?

I am just going to say that yesterday was our ADR day, and while I immediately opened the MDE app, I was letting my TA do the work. I am so glad I did. We got everything we wanted except Chef Mickeys - but we got a different great character meal in its place. (And we might even enjoy it more than CM, considering the reviews I've read of the food. LOL) We got H&V, which seems to be a tough one for November for some reason.

It was hard for me not to try to book right along side her, and to trust that she'd do it, but she managed to nail everything on the wish list but one, which for me was SO worth the trust! :dogdance:

We have a "magical" deal and as much as I like my TA, that is the one thing I prefer to do myself!

My TA is wonderful, but because of my ADR OCD I handle those myself. (I check them and change them on a regular basis. lol) She handles getting us discounts and dealing with any issues that might pop up. It works out well.
