Can you purchase perferated recipe cards that are printable on the computer? My recipe file is a mess and I would love to put it on cards and then put them all in a binder.

i have postcards that work like that, so I would have thought so.

Avery used to make them for dot matrix printers (remember the old style with holes on the edges) but i haven't seen anyhting lately.

Thanks! I got lucky and found some on eBay because I couldn't buy directly from Avery. I just hope I win the auction!

Becareful on the price you spend on eBay. You can buy those postcards at any office supply store pretty cheap.

Staples, Office Max, Office Depot all have them and sometimes you can find them at Wal-Mart and Target stores as well.

I use them for recipe cards as well as party invitations since they are cheaper to send.

Thanks for the tip, etwinchester, but since I am in Italy and don't have access to those stores I am at the mercy of the Internet. But I will take a peak at their websites to see if they offer them online. Do you know off hand how much a package runs?

I forget how much the recipe cards run, but when I was looking at Wal-Mart last year I thought they were fairly expensive. Keep in mind, though, that DH & I both had already been out of work 5 months - so my perspective may have been somewhat skewed!

08388 - Ink Jet Index Cards
Ink Jet, 3"x 5", 3 cards per sheet

Anyway, I decided it would be cheaper to type them up with 4 to a page & print them on card stock. Then I just use my Fiskars paper cutter to cut them out. Definitely NOT less labor intensive, but I'm happy with the results. I have two templates done up - one w/ 4 regular 3x5 cards & one w/ 2 regular & 1 double card.

Thanks Deb! I found the Avery 5388 online for as cheap as $10.00, however I am happy to report I won my auction on eBay and only paid $4.50 plus $2.10 shipping and handling. So I am a happy camper. Now I will have to keep an eye out for people selling more!
