Yeah, Dads friend is a Stanley, maybe older generation?

We adopted a crazy, beautiful black and white kitty and named him Stanley. He accosted us on the street and followed us home, which is unusual for a city stray. We had to come up with a name on the spot when the Vet asked for something to put on the paperwork. He seemed like a Stanley.

Well, there's the actor Stanley Tucci. And Flat Stanley of course. But I don;t know any Stanleys personally.

I went to school with a Stanley and that's what we called him. :)

My DGF was named Claude Stanley.

I am always sharp as a tack. I thought - you dated a girl name Claude Stanley? It took me a re-reading it twice and thinking about it for about 30 seconds to realize it was your grandfather. :rotfl2:

I have known a couple of Stans. They were clients or parents of clients.

I'm from a 100% Polish ancestry - I knew/know lots of Stanley's - often called "Stosh".;)

For example, my Dad's had 2 Uncle Stanley's, my mom had one. And my mom's side of the family belonged to St. Stanislaus Parish - and there were other Stanleys along the way as well.;)

I grew up with a Stan - one of the cutest, most popular boys in school. I consider it along the lines of Kenneth - a standard name that sort of lost popularity for no apparent reason.

My SO's name is Kenneth. You really don't hear of many Kens anymore.

I have a cousin named Stanley, we call him Stan. And at my last job, the judge's last name was Stanley.

:goodvibes Only my cat. But he was named after Disney's Stanley because our goldfish at the time was Dennis.

Neighbor 3 houses down is named Stanley. . . and goes by Stanley, not Stan.

my wonderful brother in law is a Stanley and we just LOVE  Uncle Stanley :thumbsup2

I work with a guy named Stanley. He's in his early 50's and one of the greatest guys I know!

My FIL is named Stanley, and my DH's nickname is Stan among his friends from HS (his real name is Dave :confused3 ).

I grew up with a boy named Stanley (about half the time he was called Stan). I'm 39. My mother has a friend (around 60-70) named Stanley. Those are the only two I can think of right now.

I do think it would be adorable on a little toddler. :p
