i know a guy named Superman. Not because his dad was a big fan or anything but because it was his grandfather's pet name for his dad. It's your child name it what you want!
My husband seriously did not want to use the name because of the Tom Brady and Brady Quinn. He is a Miami Dolphins fan so he hates the Pats and he also hates Notre Dame football with a passion. I refused to let that sway my opinion on a perfectly good name and refused to go to Brody because of that.

Hi, B. I love Aislinn's name so much! You know that you are having a boy though, so it won't matter![]()
My dd is 4 and the names I had picked out for her were Disney Claire and Jackson Walt. People were so mean to me (except my parents and bros and sisters) about it. They were like "why would you want to name your daughter after a theme park". My reasoning was that Walt Disney was an amazing man and I've always looked up to him and I wanted to name my daughter/son after HIM, not the theme park. However I lost the battle and ended up naming her Aislinn Frances.
She is now 4 and is a huge Disney fan just like her mama!
I'm currently pregnant with my #3 (Dh has 1 and I have 1, this is our first together). We got married December 10 at Sea Breeze Point and honeymooned in Disney. We came back with a little souvenirThe baby is due in mid-September. I really want to name this one Disney for the same reasons mentioned above and more importantly, is a really special place for us now!
As someone with an unusual name I have to say be careful. I like my name now but it was a real pain growing up. No one ever got it right on the 1st try & I got lots of mean comments growing up.
Why not something a little less obvious like Eliza (its close to Elias) or Lillian Marie (the first & middle names of Disneys wife). That way you still have the connection but the names aren't as unique.
I would think of your child and really really think if you'd like to be called Disney if you were a girl. Please take no offense but you did ask. Obviously you are living out YOUR fantasy on your child. Please stick with Disney as a pets name.
Halle Berry, from Cleveland, was named after the now non existant Halle's department store in Cleveland. Just a little tidbit of silly info....
I say name the little one Disney!!!! Not quite sure why so many people are against it here....the thing about baby names is that everyone has an opinion about it before they meet the baby. Then you meet the little one and it suits them, no matter what. I had a friend who named her baby Miles and I thought it was just strange, in fact I hated the name and kept thinking of Miles Davis and nothing else. Then I met him, and he was a perfect Miles!
Practice it, write it out a few times and go with your gut. No matter what, your little one will be a perfect little "insert name here!"
