I had to laugh at that comment because when we were trying to name our kids my DH would nix so many of them because he would say the kids would get teased, but most of his references were from shows,etc we watched when WE were kids. For instance, I liked the name Ben,but he said all he could think of was the littel brother from Growing Pains and that kids would make fun of him. As if all the kids in school today have stockpiles of 80's references at the ready for teasing the other kids.
I wanted the name Ben for my oldest and if I recall correctly, that is the reason why DH didn't want it. By the time I had another boy, my brother's son was Ben and we decided not to use it.
