Do you know about this iPhone safety feature? It can save your life

I really feel dumb because I guess I'm the only one who doesn't "get" this but I have to ask... I have 2 volume buttons on the left side of my phone. One is to raise and the other to lower the volume. Do you press either one of these? Do you press the power button, on the right side of the phone, at the same time? If so, do you press each 5 times, at the same time? IDK, I'm thinking my phone might turn off if I'm pressing the power button

Yup. Discovered this feature by accident when my 6 and 10 year olds were fighting over my phone and one must have been holding it by the power and volume buttons to try to get it away from the other. Oops...

But the good news is the feature really works and the cops did show up! And gave my girls a nice talking to....

Don't feel dumb..I still haven't figured out how to burn CDs and they're already obsolete.

If you are doing the 5 press method just use the button on the opposite side from the volume buttons. Youl'll still have to press the middle icon which is red and says "Emergency SOS". No idea what further steps are needed though.
